i hope we can change the traffic intensity..

els they shud make it like gta... where the character can beat up the other guys..
 
That.... looks like Acura RSX (reminiscent to the model from NFS:UG). But I could be wrong !!

they'r supposed to be modelling the cars on real world stuff.. stuff that runs on indian roads. i remember having seen an Indica lookalike during a demo session.

Yeah, that's what I was hoping for myself which is why an Acura RSX wouldn't make much sense. It's much too hard to tell anyway what with the cars looking too cell shaded in design.
 
^ On the other hand, I just noticed the taillights. Acura RSX has way different taillights. The one if screenies looks like Honda City (new) to me.
 
The point is to not have an Acura at all. Who'd want a game that was in every single way just like NFS? Besides, I'm not too sure how they plan on licensing most of those cars in the first place. EA just makes it look easy with their bottomless pockets.
 
Racing on Mumbai Roads!! the only "roads" are in south bombay and navi mumbai. The rest is a mess. Wonder if there'll be option to race in saki naka during peak hours
 
i will prefer our desi cars here as it goes with the game

sumo, qualis, ambassador (wil act like muscle):bleh: ,n 800, esteem, city, palio, getz ..some exotics like civic, optra, sonata new

...if the game resides on story of gta or midnight club series, i prefer bajaj scooter, enfield, splendor, m80, kinetic, scooty, activa...desi fatfati :bleh:

bhaiya cycles will be an added bobus..:rofl: :bleh:

to remove frustration there shall be bmc dump trucks..cranes, tempos.

for drags, vashi bridge n bandra highway will be ideal spot
sprints--colaba, grant road, mahim, etc

there shall be freeway like ramming into rly stations n race with local trains:clap: ...

man if all the above is packed in, then this game will seriously rocks...atleast for we desi gamers..
 
i would love to put nos in autorickshaw with uber cool vinyl paints and zoom past the hawaldars. :ohyeah:

oh yeah, it would be playing loud himesh songs. :P
 
Okay! This is coming straight from the horse's mouth! The game, "Streets of Mumbai" based on the actual topography of the 'city that never sleeps' has been delayed by a month and a half, at least.

The game, being developed by Trine Studios, was slated for release on May 20 but has been now pushed to July 15. Our source from Trine, who wished to remain unnamed, attributes the postponement to production delays.
"Streets of Mumbai" will get you racing on the streets of Mumbai and in cars that are true blue Indian. Trine Studios claims they've designed environments drawing upon actual references.

The game is being developed for both the PC as well as the PS2 and will feature online multi-player game play as well. It will be priced under Rs 500 and will allow gamers to download tracks and new cars from the Web site for a meager sum.

"Streets of Mumbai" boasts newer features including broader customization, new methods of selecting races, and longer and bigger racing tracks resembling various parts of Mumbai.

Other features include:
-Over seven twin-directional tracks offering a total of 14 playable tracks panning across various parts of Mumbai
-Over 10 customizable Indian cars with a variety of customizable options such as Paint, Spoilers, Rims, Hoods, Lights, Side Skirts, Bumpers, and more.
-Night rain theme to bring in the real feel of Mumbai
-customizable music player allowing players to listen to their own songs while playing.

If thy can bundle some kind of editor with this game so that we can add our custom streets ..it will be really nice.
Sounds good ...if they can manage graphics like NFS UG ..it should sell good number cause it will be priced <Rs500
 
this game was supposed to realease in July.. when the **** is it releasing!! on site its Spring 2008 but this is india.. from april to july and now spring 2008 :P i hope it realeases soon ;)

Not only few tracks, there should be whole city.. It should be total Virtual Mumbai.. It will be fun :D
 
I might purchase it if the reviews were good which they won't because they won't ever happen. Hopefully, at least some Indian sites take interest in reviewing this. I see piles of that game "Agni" in every store. Even more so than most other games combined.:P So this game shouldn't be hard to get.
 
If this game becomes official for world cyber games (bleh :P) then foreign players will have tough time catching up with us. There will be a huge bonus if you cross milan subway in the "raining madness" mode
