so, to the problem. i bought a new ram for my sempron..it was not at work since a month.
when i power on my computer it does'nt move ahead of boot screen showing mobo name.
i have even tried my friends ram problem persits.
Does your Hard Disk power light is turn on i.e. the red light.
Check your HDD power connection cable and SATA cable too.
Computer may not get signal form your HDD, so it do not start Booting.
You may go to BIOS menu and watch is there shown the HDD of yours.
Can you get the POST BIOS Message ....? Usually you can get to it by press [tab] when the system is starting. If yes it can show you the problem you are facing. Also try resetting BIOS setting by jumper.
