Suggest 5.1 Ch. Speakers with FM budget 4/5k

Hello Kumar,

But my question is unanswered, can I use any 5.1/2.1 speakers with DVD+FM.

Can you suggest any 5.1/2.1 speakers which I can use for DVD+FM using Y splitter? with medium budget?

What you say about Artis Speakers with FM (RMS 38W) Rs.3000/- any experience or knowledge?.

Finally, is My DVD player capabel to use Y splitter for FM and can I enjoy DVD+ FM with 1Set of Speakers?

i don't know about the artis,but AFAIK u can use any speakers with 2 sources using the correct y splitter.

If u use 5.1 with dvd+fm,ull get 5.1 in dvds and stereo in fm.

I ask one of my HW friend and he also suggest me to do same with Y Splitter, he is ready to visit my Home and help me to connect Speakers with DVD+FM. I will post here if need further help.
 
Now by visitng shops here and online I select some models Please suggest whcih onw is best buy with Quality assurnace.

1) Intex IT 4800 Rs.4000/-

2) Artis S5500R with FM Rs.3100/-

3) Altec Lansing ATP3, 251i

4) Mercury HT4500
 
^^Its the same thing... just renamed. If you want 5.1, get it. Pretty decent for a low end speaker system but nothing special. Sounds pretty muddy. The atp3 sounds better.

Just a Query, it doesn't mean I CHALLENGE your knowledge and experience.

Intex 4800W @3800/- RMS = 120W + 40W x 6 + 20W x 5

Artis S5500R RMS = 37 W

Altec ATP3 RMS = 30 W

Altec 251i RMS = 60 W

Why you prefer Altec Models When it is clear that Intex 4800 have more RMS power than any other models. Naturally it will give more sound and on TV ads they are showing that Even a Pin Drop Noise you can here.

I personally check some of Artis, intex, philips, sansui, akai Speakers and found that Artis 6600 have powerful sound @ 6000-6500/-, while I am impressed by intex as it gives me Clear and crispy sound in compare to others.

I am Ordinary Lover of Music but can not Segment Voice Differently as you could :ashamed:

Also I am confused How Altec ATP3 give More or Equal Sound compare to Intex 4800 as Intex certainly have more RMS (see above spec.)

Here again I need your Suggestion Chaos, as I am not lucky to Hear Altec as none of my Dealer have same and it is not fare to Travel to APEX (lemington road) to check Altec ATP3/251i. So please explain me How can I enjoy music/movie with Altec better than Intex 4800 model.

NOTE:- Chaos what about altec lansing vs3151r, on other fourm I found 4-5 month old altec lansing vs3151r for Sale @4500/- is it OK to buy same at this price, any one personally have exerience of same?

naah man,i was sarcastic.i meant even if u have a 1000BHP truck,it cant hold a candle to a 200bhp merc.Similarly,even if the intex etc have more power,they are relatively not refined as the altec ones.

Simple answer to that... Intex overrates its specs whereas altec lansing gives you what the speaker is rated at. In fact even the specs on the altec are a bit too high when you compare to "real" speakers+amps. My 20k amp is rated at a puny 50Wx2 :P. Only way to convince yourself is to listen to everything... Go give ATP3 a listen. Its the least you can do to help yourself. At your budget, if you want quality for music, forget 5.1. Get either the ATP3 or the upgraded model... the VS4121. All I'll say is intex is garbage :P.

I know well that For Music nothing beat ATP3 (within my budget)

If I want to go with 5.1, what you say about altec lansing vs3151r? How much should I pay for 6 month old vs3151r speakers?
 
ok here is the deal.

If u want a 5.1 (obiviously for surround sound) go for 251/vs3151r

If u want a good music experiance,get the ATP.

Now decide what u want-good sound or ok sound+surround.

I was in the same dillema when i bought the ATP3 but then i decided that a good 2.1 is ALLWAYS (in my case) better than a crappy (Inspire 5200) system.

So now its for u to decide...
