Suggest a cheap phone!

I guess the C210 was also one of the options posted by the user. Have a look carefully and it was about cheap phone and not necessarily a 2K, now you say who is the foolest of the fools!!!:tongue: :tongue: :cool2:Chaos said:^^We are talking about 2k phones here. The only reason I do not go fr samsungs is simple. In my house Samsung phons never have cellone reception, but nokia phones generally have 2-3 bars and are decent to make calls on........
That is one BIG reason I am tryin to avoid samsung! morever as I mentioned in the 1st post- I need reception and batt life above all............
Colour screen and all other features are useless to me- I have muc better phones at my disposal,
, but i wanted somethin cheap and small, ever since my v3i fell in bathtub... 
........ so that I will not cry when 1100 falls into the same

1108 or 1100.. anyways one more supporter for my sweet 'ol sweetie cutie 1100!!!
but on seeing the 1108 i felt the white backlight is far better to read sms and handle it.. just try which backlight suits you better.. only 200 range rs diff only wud be ther na..
and disposing phones.. seems aka has had a very very bad experience... right?? care to explain in detail ki kya hua..

the quality of 1100 antenna and speker set is very bad
the sound sometimes doesnt reach the other end. I recently dumped my 1100 and my next upgrade is definately k790i
So until then i have bought the nokia 1600
nice antenna...better speakers with loudspeaker facilty
Talking alarm...but unfortunately it was never able to wake me up
its rooster alarm is very effective for me thouh...haha
the screen is a bit small for a color display...but who cares.

also i got it for 3200Rs 800 bucks more than 1100 and much better package

Awesome phone, with good reception and no voice problems, and above all gives a great peace of mind.
errr , i would rather not give the details... What happened is that my V3 fell into the bathtub and was Underwater fr abt 5 seconds.. I took it out, opened all parts and dried evrythin under a hair drier.
Then I called moto service centre and they told me that my warranty has just gone KaBOOM......... just fr added pleasure,they also told me that my phone was rather dead accordin to estimate, hell with them......
No problems. I went to my local mobile wallah who is a true expert I reckon...... when opened the IC of the phone was damaged and water was everywhere!! speakers, batt connectors, earpiece......
Just by luck , he had another V3i in fr repair which had a proper IC. h just switched the IC's of both phones, dried my phone fr a week, and gave it bck to me with a bill of Rs. 1200 and assurance that It will not work fr more then a month!
Keepin my fingers crossd! untill then bought a 1100 to keep me connected to telecom evolution
EDIT: just noticed that 1100 has two places where u can put lanyard(small string like structures that some people fancy)

Seems there have been problems with the things made at the Sriperumbudur plant.
One friend had a mike problem, i.e., the built-in one did not work just 2 days after he bought it.
Another friend had NO signal, the antenna was out of order..
I am a bit worried, but since i'm going to be using it only for 2 months, as long as something only happens within the warranty period, i'm ok with that..

and abt the lanyard thing.. did you mean the small handy chain type like rope.. its not fancy,:no: i find it very useful to hold the phone sometimes..:cool2:
