CPU/Mobo Suggest a CPU + Mobo Combo for 14-15k

Hi guys,
i plan to upgrade my current setup, almost everything is decided except the mobo+cpu combo :eek:hyeah:
The usage is mostly non-gaming, but will be running applications which uses all 4 cores, so I am looking for a quad-core(intel/AMD) and a mobo, any suggestions?

PS:15k is hard limit, can't spend more than that :)

some configs i have looked into are
Intel Q6600 + Intel DG31PR
AMD 9600 + Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H
AMD Phenom 9600 + ASUS M2A-VM

Phenom 9600 has the TLB bug, rite?

For 15k, I dont think there's anything better than what Sidhu suggested, for ur requirements; :|

A Q9300 is probably an overkill; ;)
 
First and foremost of all, don't get Intel motherboards or you won't be able to overclock.

Abit IP35-E + Q9300 would hit your hard limit and be best bang for that.
