Friends,

Pls suggest a Ink-tank Printer.

It should print good quality Photos.
Maximum warranty.
Easy maintenance.
Cheap branded ink.
Wifi option will be helpful so that I can print directly from my Mobile.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Epson L Series is pretty good. I use it with long gaps and it still works fine.
I would suggest you go for an auto duplex printer with good ipm, the cheaper ones print so slowly at high quality that it feels like watching a 1080p video on 56.6 kbps.

I bought this one in 2019 - https://www.amazon.in/dp/B07XTGBGHB/ HP Deskjet 5085 for ₹5800. I think this model is discontinued now, you can look for its newer version. Its an AIO with duplex printing and Wifi.

Got the cartridge refilled once and then had to discard as printer wouldn't recognize it. Bought new cartridges for ₹1400 few months back. Get this if your usage is very less.

Bought this one during September 2019 - https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B07DGBHDZC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 around Rs.10,500/- Average usage is around 20 copies per month and the the ink is still holding good and there is 1/4th of ink is still left in the tank. Good for printing documents and project work but average color reproduction when printing photos. Don't buy cartridge based printers, they dry up fast and also the original cartridges are too costly and the refills damage the printer heads over a course of time.

For on the cheap - Epson. Ease of use - HP.

Optionally, look for normal inkjets with all the features - even second handed and put a CISS kit on them. Should cost another 2K more.

A laser color AIO is easily 20k plus.

OP should check the Epson range. Someone reliable recommended me Epson. I will also buy one soon.

11k approx.
I bought the Epson L3150 wifi aio in March,2020 and printed approx 1k pages until now by my kid for her online classes and exams and only 30% ink got reduced.

But non wifi aio is best if using USB connection only and also cheap.

did too much research on printers about a decade ago but things to look for.
1. dye based ink good for documents but bad for photos. they fade quickly due to uv. photos=>pigment based ink. epson’s some dura ink or something is really good. i personally tested the photos not fading after an year.
2. most of the refillable come with dye based inks as they dont clog after keeping idle. pigment based ink clogs. so you need to keep printing.
3. good picture quality->around 1.5 droplet size.
4. polyester t shirt printing requires sublimation ink which clogs even more.
5. pigment based ink is more expensive but worth the money if you have photography as a hobby.
even second handed and put a CISS kit on them. Should cost another 2K more.
personally i dont suggest ciss. its like 1st grade kid using hero pen.

Just bought an Epson L3150.
Thank you very much for all the suggestions.

Need to know some details. I think these printers don't take cartridges but can be refilled. How many pages does it print per refill? How much does its refill cost?

I have an HP Inkjet which has just emptied its second set of black cartridge (tri-color cartridge is still 2/3rd full) and has printed around 1300 pages. Would it make sense to get a whole printer than to get a new set of cartridges? I am planning to get only Black cartridge which costs Rs. 600.

for L3150, all 4 ink-bottles cost within 600/- only.

I don't remember the cost exactly, Epson authentic stuff was quite cheap on Amazon. I got about 3500 pages with the first fill where I printed some books.
Haven't used it much since then, 2 -3 pages a month has probably been my maximum usage since then.

L3150 is a great choice, same goes for L3152 which is same as 3150 but with fixed software with respect to apple devices.
The L3150 had some issues of wifi connectivity with apple devices.

Even i am going to buy the L3152 next month... Had purchased one last year but it was faulty so got a refund and since then waiting for a deal.
