Graphic Cards Suggest a way to buy X1900 XTX

^^As long as the customs doesn't catch him, its fine. Tell him to get rid of the outer box and get it in a drab looking brown box.

Naa... just make sure that the box doesn't scream the world's fastest graphics accelerator :). Your friend can just claim it costs 20$ and get away with it then. Thats what i did when i got mine in february. I had a dell 2005 as well so just claimed that it was an "accessory with my monitor".

^^ thats a OEM card. Check how much warranty u get with it from newegg. Also check if Sapphire offers more warranty (Manufacturer's warranty) on the same card.

MAil in rebate means your friend in the US can get a cheque for 30$ from Sapphire (or newegg) abt a month or so after you buy the card.

And yeah....retail card means full warranty...

For a card like this which is heat all inclusive, it would be better to buy from India in case it fails later, say after a yr or so.

The same happened to 9800Pro's although those were Power color and Club 3Ds.

You would probably get a replacement quicker if u send back a dead card to the us and then get back one and then ask someone to get it back rather than give the local card here for warranty servicing... they take months :p.

Actually, one would get a replacement sooner if one doesnt waste time, energy and money trying to prove that poor OCing chip was the root cause of all evil, and actually follows teh RMA process.

Welll lets see... I have sent my x1900XT for RMA to pune... It carries Indian Warrenty... Lets just see how much time it takes...
