^^ Thanks a lot for all the help.

The A5's were not in stock either, we have placed the order for the A2's.

Infact my Dad called me, as he was in Mumbai for a few days

and asked me what speakers I wanted and I gave him Bajaao's number and said the AE A2's.

Should be delivered to him in Mumbai by tomorrow I hope....

Thanks a lot for all the help.

Have a nice day...

PS. Ordered their little stands too :)

Congrats, let us know your views once you've had a chance to test it out.

^^ Yes sir for sure I will...

just let me get my hands on 'em.

Can't wait :)

PS. Should have 'em by midnight or tomorrow morning....

Got 'em Initial impression..

OK before this I have used the Bose sound dock for iPod, Bose Companion 2's and some creative ones, There is no comparison between the above and teh A2's. The A2's are way way better.

What I liked:

1. The finish is super, they really look nice.

2. The bass is way more than I expected, for their size.

3. Mids are decent, but the High are super clear. Though movies sounded perfectly.

4. Plenty of power for the desktop, but not for HT purposes I must say. (Only as rear speakers maybe)

6. The sound stage the present is better than I have ever heard on PC speakers.

5. They will always be traveling with me now whenever i head out for the weekend.

What I Did not like:

1. Ofcourse the volume knob at the back is a let down, but had to be done to achieve their simple looks.

2. The volume know is too sensitive, gains volume way too quickly!!

3. These speakers simply can't keep up after 75% of the volume, they start distorting, but mind you, they are LOUD at 70% for a desktop or room. No 75% is way to high to even game on them. [Maybe I need to configure the Xonar and play more with the settings.]

4. The speaker wire could have been a bit longer.

Overall, I am impressed with these tiny speakers.

They look super on the desk, packaged very well, and Bajaao guy is super helpful.

It loves fingerprints but AE have has given enough cleaning bags....

I will write more on them after they have run in a bit, maybe need a bit of time for the sound to really start opening up...

Congrats! Enjoy the little buggers.

some tips:

1. Get rid of the stock wires ASAP.

2. Make sure you "don't" play with the Xonar. Bad bad distortions (As you know I have almost exact setup as yours, well only 80% less awesome than yours :p)

3. As Abhi perfectly pointed out, the hump around 100 Hz is really weird sounding at times, learn to live with it, even the best of girlfriends have quirks and cost waaay more to take care of. :)

4. Use a UPS, people (including yours truly once) have had their power bricks conking off every now and then.

^^ Loved the "As Abhi perfectly pointed out, the hump around 100 Hz is really weird sounding at times, learn to live with it, even the best of girlfriends have quirks and cost waaay more to take care of. "

Ha Ha ha ...really Girlfiends with quirks...have dealt with my share...lol...

Yeah they are running thru the APC UPS..

I will be going speaker cable hunting this weekend, and recommendations Sarang sir :)

Also want better RCA cables for the Xonar to Speaker :)

And here they are:

First of all, A Very Congratulations to you on the purchase of A2's. Indeed they are so beautiful, no doubt. Yes u can play with the equalizer but I detest playing with equalizer and adding artificial effects(environment such as Room, Parking Lot etc. etc.). I just like playing only music and nothing more. I suggest u to just set the "Sample Rate" and Press the "HF" in DSP mode and let Xonar Essence ST do all the processing and as far as the RCA cables so I don't know how good are they(which comes with A2's) so I really can't comment or say anything on this. :)

^^ Ordering some Monster Cables as we speak...once and for all...

Need some good speaker cables, HDMI, RCA and Ethernet...monster got all on the site :)

Thanks for all the recommendations but what do you mean by "HF"??

No I am not putting any effects on...

I think yesterday I was trying to push them too hard today they are sounding slightly better or maybe I am playing them at a more decent level...

I really like 'em..I must say...The clarity I believe is better than my FS.....though ofcourse not the volume....

There is a Volume Control on the Xonar ST Audio Center and "HF" is below the Volume Control. I have Xonar DX and there is a "HF" button below the Volume Control on the Xonar DX Audio Center.

No monster please. Snake Oil anyone?

As for the volume, these are nearfield monitors at best, so 10wpc is all you get. But at less than a meter away from your speakers you'd hardly need to go beyond 40% on the pot.

Forget the Monsters and buy these:

Speaker Cable: Chord - Carnival Silver Screen Speaker Cable
RCA Cable: Chord - Crimson Plus ( 2 RCA to 2 RCA) - 1 Meter

Sorry to hijack the thread, have a similar sound card but have A5's.My query is it necessary to get these speaker cable and rca cable, will there be perceivable difference in quality.

Thank you...yeah the Hi-Fi button...

I enabled that and there is a significant difference...

Thanks a lot...

I can't find anything reasonable for my useage, the above one is priced fine but its only 1 meter, (RCA one) and they dont have longer ones in the model...I need atleast 2 meters of both....

Any other recommendations?

MX Cables. Visit their outlet and choose the cables. I use MX cables for all interconnects.
