Graphic Cards Suggest graphics card for my rig....7k ati

Yes OP should get Corsair CX430V2 if he is going for HD6850/7770 cause i've seen psu going boom and smoked by HD6850.
Only other recourse to this will be that OP forsakes the HD7770 GHz and HD6850, buys an AMD HD7750 [800MHz / 900MHz] with a orsair CX v2430W.

That is the only option I can suggest with constrained budget and high prices.

guys i have an offer from a te member for this 7770 card
its unused and getting it for less than 9.5k
Hows the card in terms of performance etc.. i mean its looks a stock card and not otherwise an OC edition such as one from msi and gigabyte.

And it also says that it requires: 2x 75 Watt 6-pin PCI Express Power Connector, 1x 75 Watt 6-pin PCI Express Power Connector. :scared14: Now what the hell with so much of connectors? I just got 1 x6 pin and not so many.

Tell that guy to start a sale thread, that should help and I seriously will not believe any crap they put on flipkart. Even the most elaborate design will not have more than 1 x75W PCIe power connector requirement.

It is the reference design as far as I can make out, go for it if he is reliable and you trust him.

The card should work fine on your system and with that sweet price your friend is offering you I would suggest you take it and forget any-other options for now, Cheerio!

If you don't have that in your psu don't worry,The GPU has one in the accessories.

That is a molex to 6-pin conversion adapter.

What?,HD7770 only needs 1 6Pin power connector,If you don't have that in your psu don't worry,The GPU has one molex converter in the accessories,Hope this clears things.:)

It is 1GHz. that is the standard clock for HD7770 chip.

Flipkart is wrong!
I am sure it needs 1xPCIe 6-pin power connector. There is no place to add 2 connectors. there is just one power port. So with one 6-pin port it will run fine.

7770 card requires 1 x PCie 6 -pin connector ;) & it needs a 450 W PSU .

I have decided to upgrade my psu as well now.
Somebody suggested Corsair CX430V2 for 2.7k but i want a future proof one which will run any gfx card for next 3 years.
My budget for the same is 3.5k. I dont think CX430 will handle future cards which may require more power in addition to other installed components.

Or shall i opt for corsair cx500v2 or cx 600v2 4.1k?
And how good is corsair cx series as to vx which i guess is discontinued? SeaSonic S12II 520w 4.5k is costly than cx 600v2 4.1k so is cx inferior to seasonic? Coz logically 600w from corsair should have been priced higher than 520w from seasonic but its reverse here.

Clear this confusion clutter.

@nRiTeCh I am not aware of the actual street prices of the Seasonic units but they should not be more than ~4000/- for the 520W flavour in my opinion.

In this budget segment the two SMPS that you can purchase are --
Seasonic S12II 520W ~4000/- [not sure of this price, best let @Jakob and @chiragsthakur help you on this count] OR
Corsair GS 500 ~4000/- [a v2 edition of Corsair's nascent Gaming Series SMPS the Corsair GS500W is a credible performer]

The CX series beyond the v2430W is not worth it. So it will be best if you avoid the same. The now defunct VX series has not been properly plugged in instead Corsair has released the TX550M [semi-modular] as a replacement for the VX550W and the Corsair CX v2430W and GS500W are the successor to the VX450W [though neither can hold a candle to the latter's performance].

Hope this helps, Cheerio!

P.S. -- So is the budget inclusive of the SMPS OR exclusive of the same?

No the budget is exclusive. i have kept aside 9k for gfx card and now spared upto 3.5k for psu so total comes to 12.5k. Now the gfx card is decided as i will go either for 6850 or 7770 whichever fits in my budget.

So suggest a psu accordingly as again i would not like to be in place as my current extreme series cm psu.

I will be plugin in my 2 spare harddisks so in all there will be 4 sata3 hdds with all other components.
So nothing should get bottle-necked even after installing a gfx card and still there should be some place left for future components too.

Jakob and chiragsthakur shed some light on this too.

@nRiTeCh Did you get a gpu after all the debate or not?,For PSU-Seasonic S12ii 520W-3.9k OR Cooler Master GX550W-4.2k OR if you get lucky by chance then you might get Corsair VX550W-4.6k,Don't know about the quality and performance of the new editions of Corsair but by the look of things it's not as good as the legendary VX series.

---------- Post added at 09:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:11 PM ----------

No need to worry The above suggested PSU can hold GPU like HD6950+4HDD so you can add upto 4-5 HDD's with HD6850 OR HD7770.I myself running 3 HDD+HD6850 on VX450 so no worries.:)

Seasonic S12ii 520W-3.7k is much better built quality and more than 82% efficiency under load the 80+ Bronze PSU is much better.I've personally seen more than one CX series PSU's going kaput in no time so no need to check any reviews. There are better PSU in offering for that budget and that's what OP should get for long term.
his budget is 9k for graphics and 3.5k for psu. cx500 is a good unit for 3.6k , just check some user reviews .

Look i can't guarantee the prices cause they change everyday, few hundred bucks changing here and there is usual. The prices have shot up by 1k in many products. The prices given are just reference,No one can give exact local prices.:)
Hi Jakob, is it really available for that price? where? i cannot seem to find less than ~ 4200

the price of seasonic s12 ii 520w is 4400 Rs .
this is a good option for op - a new HD 7750 (7.5k max ) + a good psu (6k)
for 6k he will get a quality psu like seasonic s12 ii 620w or corsair GS 700
