Graphic Cards Suggest graphics card for my rig....7k ati

Thanks for letting me know that. I was unaware of any V2 versions in GS series. And regarding TX550M, as I have said, you will be the first person to get the info from my side ;)

Neither was I, came to know it through Hardware BBQ chief.

For the Corsair TX550M [a bit of OT] --

P.S. -- You have been warned.

Ok..so as per reviews n suggestions i guess its fairly wise to stick to Seasonic 520w and yes cm gx550w sucked big time when i went through the reviews and just its printed power nos. doesn't count in practical.
But still i needed 550w for a peace of mind in terms of future expansions.
Somebody did advised me for vx550 but i wasn't able to find it anywhere or that would have been my last resort.

Still i hope seasonic 520 will be sufficient even for my future needs to add newer gfx card after a yr or two and some more hardware or upgrade to mobo/cpu ...

Also how about Tagan TG-600-U37 @ 4.5k I dint find its review on jonnyguru/ hardware secrets so may @ALPHA17 put some light on it.

The biggest worry on Seasonic and TAGAN SMPSs' is that they both do not have much of a service network beyond the major metros. I have friends using the TAGAN SMPS that you have brought up with the following configurations --
Intel Core i7 950
6GB Corsair XMS3 1333MHz RAM modules
1 xHD 5850 OR GTX 460 1GB
1 x500GB hard-drive

and so far these systems are all running fine. None have died on their owners and are perfectly fine with the APC BR650VA-IN UPS [backup times as long as ~10 minutes].

If I were you, I would concentrate on the number of connectors the SMPS in question provides, this itself is testimony to the companies faith in their products. E.g. --

Zebronics Platinum 600W SMPS comes with only 4 xSATA power connector + 1 xPCIe 6-pin power connector + standard connectors [24-pin motherboard connector and 4 + 4-pin CPU connector + 1 xFloppy] whilst the lower rated Seasonic S12II 520W comes with -- 6 xSATA power connectors + 2 xPCIe 6-pin power connector + standard connectors.

The latter is properly rated and can carry a card upto the GTX670 no problems, just make sure you do not go for very aggressive over-clocks and stay within prescribed limits, while the former is just a barely capable 450W unit toting a 600W sticker and one of my friends has lost a Quadro card to the same.

The Corsair VX550W was / is and will probably remain a legend as it is no longer in serial production. Hoping the TX550M makes a retail debut in India soon, people are getting it for RMA-ed VX450W / 550W units from Kaizen, probably needs to contact them.

This is my view point on the topic, hope this helped.

P.S. -- The order in which I rate the SMPS which are available to you --

Seasonic S12II 520W >= Corsair GS v2500W > Cooler Master GX550W
