Graphic Cards Suggest graphics card for my rig....7k ati

What will op do with 620W PSU,He has clearly mentioned above that he'll be getting HD6850 OR HD7770 gpu.So 520W PSU would be good enough which is within his budget.
the price of seasonic s12 ii 520w is 4400 Rs .
this is a good option for op - a new HD 7750 (7.5k max ) + a good psu (6k)
for 6k he will get a quality psu like seasonic s12 ii 620w or corsair GS 700

nice 7770 for 7.7k .here is the link . Looks like they have 30 in stock . But for PSU Seasonic s12ii 520W is the best choice for 4.4k
so total =12.1k
or he can buy seasonic s12 ii 620w or corsair GS 700 .more future proof .

These prices are ancient, in their latest Sale thread [which is also archaic] they are priced at ~8600/- thanks to the $: Rupee fluctuations the prices have hit an all time high of ~9500/- and above.

The S12II 520W is available to us chaps for ~4000/- from Prime ABGB and some deal threads over here --> http://www.techenclave.com/techxtreme/seasonic-power-supplies-best-prices-131134/#post1638135.

Hope this helps, Cheerio!

smc site still shows that it is 7770 Rs . where is op ? did he buy anything ?

Which psu to choose from these?

Cooler Master GX550W (max output is 660w and typical is 550w)---prime 4.6k---itwares 4.2k prime---smc 4.5k

Corsair Builder Series CX600 V2 Power Supply---prime 4k---itwares 4.1k

Corsair Gaming Series GS500---prime 4k

@nRiTeCh out of the SMPS that you listed best that you can grab is the -- Corsair GS v2500W.

P.S. -- where is the Seasonic S12II 520W?

Nothing wrong with GX550W,Just Seasonic cause it's cheaper and better in efficiency-
Seasonic S12ii 520W-86% and CM GX550W-84% so it's better to go for Seasonic S12ii 520W,Hope this clears things.:)
Ok... but whats wrong with Cooler Master GX550W ?? Its also 85% efficient.

^^ Tejas why you are so concerned about efficiency? :p

If you see the power available on 12v rail, then GX550 has got 44A x 12v = 528w, whereas Seasonic 520 has got 40A x 12v = 480w. So GX550 has got about 50w more on 12v rail. 84% and 86% efficiency hardly will make any difference in the power consumption, so not a parameter to be considered. Rather the amperes on +12v rail is what a person should consider while getting a PSU.

Both have got 5 years warranty. You wont go wrong getting either one

chiragsthakur: thx for the answer. It justifies the rest...

ALPHA17: I have no prob with seasonic 500w but gx 550 tempts me for that extra 50w :p and also as per reviews its very competitive and gives tough to its counterparts. Instead of going 500w i guess its better to opt for 550w as currently i already have a 500w.

Thus dont want to get another 500w though my current one is extreme series. Hence as per budget gx 550w is something which i can think upon. :) and as chirag pointed out, its 12v rail offering is higher than its counterparts. :)

Rest on final lines....i really hope gx550 will handle my 4 hdds and 7770 or 6850 with ease and still leaving that extra space for future peripheral upgrades. :)

And as for gfx card, nor prime nor smc is answering any of my queries so its rahul/ itwares with whom i had chat yesterday and he promised some good deal on them. So now all depends on him. I already finalized the msi models since 10 days now.:annoyed:
@chiragsthakur: mate as you offered me help with prime, can you do it for the gfx card bcoz prime isnt responding to me at all and currently I'm out of town and its useless to physically visit and inquire and buy the next day.

Fine the call is in your hands, although it might be worth looking into how many connectors each SMPS provides. The Seasonic unit even after being a lower rated unit has got stellar reviews backing it up. http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=185 / http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/954/.

Even the Corsair GS v2500W is the same case --> http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Corsair-GS500-Power-Supply-Review/1571, unfortunately the Cooler Master GX series is viewed very negatively by HardwareSecrets.com and JonnyGuru.com both sites that I recommend for SMPS ratings http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/917 / http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=188.

So if you want to buy, I suggest in this order --> Seasonic S12II520W > Corsair CX v2500W > Cooler Master GX550W.

And do not worry apart from the lack of the 2 x 6-pin PCIe power connectors on the GX550W the latter two are proven pieces at the same loads, hope this helps. Cheerio!

Cooler Master GX 550W Power Supply Review - Conclusion. You are right about GX750's and even the GX650's, but personally I have supplied GX450 and GX550 for people running 6950's and haven't got a complaint yet. I agree that CM's reputation in PSU's is not at all good, but those two GX series PSU's are worth it.

The Corsair VX550W is badly missed here or it'd been game over for all the psu's and the standings would've been-
Corsair VX550W>Seasonic S12ii 520W>CM GX550W,The corsair CX series wouldn't even be in the contention.Anyways OP should get this over with as GX550W OR S12ii 520W both are good psu.HD6850+Seasonic S12ii 520W/GX550W would be a very good choice.
6850 or 7770?

GS v2?? or CX v2?? GS is better than CXV2 for sure. I guess you have a typo error here. :) Corsair GS500 Power Supply Review | Hardware Secrets

Thanks for bringing me upto speed on this Chirag, I was aware of the GX450W as being a better SMPS than its elder siblings but was not sure if the GX550W was upto scratch too.

And, actually the GS series currently in the retail pipe-line is the GS v2-series, just that Corsair has not implemented that naming convention here.

P.S. -- Any news of the Corsair TX550M?

Thanks for letting me know that. I was unaware of any V2 versions in GS series. And regarding TX550M, as I have said, you will be the first person to get the info from my side ;)
