Laptops suggest laptop 27K budget

uses:
word processing spreadsheet presentation (office)
origin etc (drawing graph)
music and movies (NOT HD)
so what do u gurus suggest ?
what about:
HP Compaq 6715s OR
Asus A7M (last years model :S ) OR
Compaq F77 something (don't know the exact model)
will got to the market tomorrow for recon

recently my friend bought Acer 4720-Z for 28.5. It's performing fine and has a killer config for its price:

in 28.5K we got

T2170 (1.73Ghz)
2Gb RAM
160GB HD
14.1" screen
BT, DVD-RW etc

When you go to market have a look at this lappy
 
so many have issues with this scheme..

one of my friend have this scheme and having no problem with the same.

he downloaded 5 full length movies in one day !

and i m stuck with my post paid connectin,paying higher price getting lower speed :(
