Try to fit in the 19" Display in your budget. Its really not something you buy again and again. you can settle for a bit less ram or go without a sound card and get that later after you manage to save some more cash. Monitor is a one time decision and purchase.

ViewSonic VA1912W is the best LCD....I think u can buy the RAM and stuff later.... Prices of RAM keeps dropping, so u can always addin another stick, but the LCD is a really good buy....so get it!!

Get the dell 1707fp from dell india, it's 16000 inclusive of tax . i just got it an it's an amazing monitor , looks amazing and is fast for gaming . plus is got 2 upstream usb ports! it's the best buy man. go for it!

I would say that you stick with the Viewsonic or the samsung Wide screen rather than going for dell 17".

@ReNaGAde: how did the Dell 1707 cost you 16k. Its 13.5k and even if you add 10% tax, it should be less than 15k. I would say that its not worth 15k just for the added USB ports since the panel is a regualr TN film with 8ms g2g response.

The Viewsonic VA1912 is also a TN film with 8ms g2g and 16.7M color while the 940BW is also a TN film has a 4ms g2g response and 16.2M color and they are both 19" WS.
