17k is a bit too high... i got my 940bw for 15.8k about a month back... so guess it shouldnt be over 16k now.
 
Tell him that you got a better quote from another place and that if he gives the same, you will buy it from him, otherwise you are going to get it from the other dealer. :ohyeah: I have used that technique with success several times. :)

If he agrees, then ok, otherwise you better look for another dealer.
 
A little piece of advise - Don't go with anything lower than ViewSonic VX2025WM, later you'll regret it (if you know how to judge quality). It will cost you around 23-25K, if you don't have enough cash at the moment, then add more cash and get VX2025WM.

WTH kinda advice is that?? I could tell him to wait a bit and go for the Dell 2407 in like a few months... He has a budget, and wants suggestions, and that's why we've suggested something in that price range. For 1.5L a 32 inch LCD TV is also available mayte...:bleh:

Advice should be given based on the person's parameters, not on what you have got...:P

I'd still say the 940 BW makes a good case AFA price goes. Good monitor
 
AmbarD look at the with the 940BW and VA1912Wb and then compare it to a VX2025WM, you can easily make out how much better it is :D
 
AmbarD, I was getting a VA1912w and saw that and the 940BW last week... I changed my mind after seeing them and have now decided on the VX2025wm which is 20.3k + 4% VAT.
 
dont think thats likely unless international prices fall and that wont be atleast till christmas...

as for the viewosnic it was 330$ in US so its still pretty costly locally :P
 
C'mon don't compare Indian prices to US... there's always a chance you'll find a better deal there, especially on eBay where you can get a 2407WFP for < $700 ;)
 
what i wanted to state is that drops in international prices will reflect here in due time, a 2407 even @700$ is about 32k and there is absolutely no way to get a similar price here, best u can expect i think till Diwali is sub 35k, thats it
 
Right, I got a quote of 30k (all inclusive) for the VX2235wm before prices crashed... so now I'm guessing you could get your hands on it for about 27k... however, it's a TN panel as Chaos said :P
