Suggest new sound card fast !!!

As the title says please suggest a good sound card .... I had a X-Fi Xtreme Music and it died .... so I want a new one ... well for budget lets say I want the cheapest and best option ? Around 4k ? Please suggest fassssssssstttt ...

I have sennheiser HD202 headphones and I will buy some awesome expensive ones later :P ....
 
I wont be buying that one ... its pci .. the small one ... I dont have a free slot ... i mean i do but its covered ... :( ..... any normal pci x 16 or whatever that slot is called walla card ? also looking for a new purchase not second hand :) ...

huh? It's not PCI, its PCI-Express 1x. FYI PCI-E 1x are pin compatible with 4x 16x and xx with 16x. They sit perfectly in a 16x slot without a hitch. I am using one in the x16 slot. If you want, can show you a pic of the installation.

I'd grab that DX eyes closed. Alternatively the new Xonar DG cards (30 USD) have garnered some rave reviews for its HP amp, dunno bout its availability though.

^OH I didn't know it worked in the x16 also :D .... cool I'll talk to my sister about it cos she giving me the monies =.= .

Also I wanted to know if the Xonar DX is better than my old Xfi Xtreme Music ?

Guys how is auzentech raider ? its for 3.8k @ theitwares.com ... wont a low profile sound card be bad .. i mean can I get a full profile for this price ? ...

Err whats wrong with low profile? Don't go by the word "Low" it just indicates that the card is laid out in a manner to fit in smaller cases. Less hight more length thats it. I don't see any probs with the "profile" being low :)
 
Ok guys ... I increased my budget .... can you please tell me some high end sound card ? I mean ~8k ... ... I thought since I never changed my xtreme music for so long I wont be changing the next one till that one dies .... please suggest some high end one :) .

guys i went for xonar dx D:::::::::::: ... cos the damn stx is only stereo ... it cant be used for 5.1 speakers which i will be getting later .. :(
