HI,

Myself anshul (Working in a gaming company)

I have come an idea of setting up gaming Room(Which will have consoles and TV)

So i would like to have suggestion from everyone about the Number of Gaming RIGs( only console) i should put up.

I have only limited budget right now .That is 70,000 rs only.

So please tell me which option will be good for me .

how many ps2 or xbox 360 or ps3.

or

just ps2 complete for 70k

or some mixed up consoles

I would like to put some points in focus,

This is an just idea of mine so any healthy suggestion in 70,000 rupees will be welcome.

any mixed up suggestion .

and please also tell me latest cost of PS2 and xbox360 basic model and ps3 basic model

i dont want any networking .

ANd i will look only for simple 21 else 29 inches tv bcz i will focus more on console right now .l

thanks

To be frank 70k is too less for setting up a Gaming room in a office where footfall would be high. Care to throw details on how many person would be there who would have access to it and would there be any time slots or this would be open 24*7. Also how long would a person be entitled to use a particular console or system?

this is going to be for gaming company so they will be playing as much they want.

but we dont have much of football fans.we have tekken fans.only.

yeah we have somethign around 100 people.but trust me they wil have craze for 2 weeks then it will be just usual..

so any suggestion for starting to startup a gaming room

it can be just small gaming room also..

Hi,

You definitely would need 3 out of these 4 consoles for a gaming room. I have mentioned the maximum prices without the additional cost you have to incur while purchasing games.

A. PS3 OPTIONS

PS3 40GB - 22,990/-
PS3 80GB - 25,990/-
B. XBOX - 360

Core Console - 14,000/-
Pro Console - 19,000/-
Elite Console - 25,000/-

C. PS2

PS 2 with 2 controllers & an 8MB Memory Card - 7,000/-

D. WII

Wii with a free game - 20,000/-
Total Maximum Cost for Options

A+B+C = 58,000/-
B+C+D = 52,000/-
A+C+D = 52,000/-

You would anyway end up with 12,000 to 18,000/- depending on the choices you make which would be more than enough to pick up a 21 or 29 inch CRT or a 22 inch LCD. If you bargain hard enough for all the stuff in one single electronic outlet, may be you can pick up a 32 inch LCD also.

But buying games for this requires more than your 70,000/- can afford.

I would suggest as pilot you get a Wii and 37" Bravia or Panny LCD for ~55k.

If the room is dark enough get a Projector(sub 60k) or if the company has its own projector use that and buy PS3 and 360 +games

thanks for the suggestion from neoronin and shailesh.

as up i have word with my company we have already 2 Wii lying around.

so only i will opt for xbox360 or ps2 or ps3.

yeah i cant opt for the projection as i have to put many console in one room but its a good idea .

and yeah i have projection.so i can put one small console in the projkection room..

My manager will always blame for playing in projection room anyways that another question.

yeah i will consider all these healthy opinions

and yeah some more suggestion as i have friday till deadline to propose my proposal ofgaming room

Well as you have 2 Wii already you can buy 1 PS3, 1 X360, 2 PS2 this should suffice for the console hunger.

Also you can put some low end gaming pc (minimum 5) which can run games like NFS, DOTA and CS 1.6. So this should suffice your need of gaming room and keep increasing as you get more budget.

hey thanks for the opinon we do have more then 100 pc to just play dota or nfs but we cant put those PC in gaming room as those are our working PC...

finally i have put up across the idea ti our company

company name "Gameloft " mobile gaming company..hyd...

but trust me we have 100 pc to play dota but we dont play as we got some work to do..and some time hide our gaming skills from our manager..

anyways any more suggestion as they have asked me one more opinion

Hi Anshul, my 2 bits of suggestion considering your limited gaming budget:

A: Sony / Samsung 26" LCD = 30,000 max
B: 1 PS3 40 GB with Motorstorm 2 / Resistance 2 free = 22,900
C: 1 X360 Core Console = 14,900

Total: 70,000 max, invest the reamining amount in buying a small memory unit for X360 or a 2nd hand 20 GB harddisk for it...

If you go for 2nd hand PS3 or X360 (which are still in warranty, you may be able to save atleast 4k-8k on each console ..... allowing you to rack up xtra accessories or speaker setup or a new PS2 also ... :)

Try avoiding a conventional TV for there is absolutely no point wasting so much money and still not leveraging hi-def! A projector and sound setup will be good additions too.... bt as and when u feel the need for it.

Cheers! :)

nemesis thanks for ur suggestion but in Hyd i guess i wont be able to handon Second hand ps3.

i got a hand on xbox360.lets see about future..

thanks everyone for there suggestion.and hope the company will pass my this.
