Yeah, Planetes was great. Infinite Ryvius was somewhat similar but definitely not as good.

dunno, i'm guessing minus the op, ed and flashbacks etc it would be whittled down a fair bit; more like 10hrs a day. watching too many episodes of the same show at a stretch does scramble the brain a bit; you end up watching episodes in your dreams too :D

As chiron said I watched those 276 episodes minus the op,ed and filler arcs. Now I am finally upto 504.

Its going to be torture now waiting for one episode every week.

Finally Naruto had a decent episode now hopefully no more 95% flashback 5 % story episodes.

Watched "Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai" last night. One of the best anime out this spring!!

Five childhood friends grow apart after the death of Meiko Honma, close playmate of them all. Jinta Yadomi, leader of the group when they were kids, neglects high school and lives as a shut-in when he unexpectedly starts seeing the ghost of Meiko, who can only interact with him and no one else. She has returned to ask Jinta to fulfill the forgotten wish she made as a kid.

Its Ano hana :p

I have got it downloaded and watched 4 eps. I know its epic. There are some other good ones as well. Need to go home to give a complete list :p

^ its not ano hana. lol. "ano hana" means that flower, whereas "ano hi" means that day. the fansubbers might have cut the name to keep file names short. :p

Its quite slow in the beginning, just have a little patience.
I started liking the show after the 40th or so episode.

^^Yup OP by far is the best long series anime. Usually long animes get you bored at some points (like bleach, shippuuden), but not with OP. "Consistent" is the word.

But after watching the anime, you will feel " Ano Hana " makes more sense for the title. :p

Hadn't seen much Anime earlier. Only DBZ. Just finished watching Death Note. It was brilliant. Any suggestions for other good anime? I also have full metal alchemist. is it any good?

I didn't like Deadman Wonderland at all, stopped watching after the episode
where they show that shiro is the wretched egg.

Also, watched Shiki expecting it to be terrible but that one turned out to be fairly good; 7/10
