Symbian Anna running Nokia E6 and X7 now shipping, slowly

The first Symbian Anna phones, the Nokia E6 and the Nokia X7, are now shipping.:ohyeah::ohyeah::ohyeah:

I hope to find them on Indian shores soon!!

Some prices that are being quoted are:

For E6

Nokia Germany’s online store still have it on pre-order for €429 while Italians can pre-order it for €399. The Nokia UK online store still lists it as available on pre-order for £349 (€400) SIM-free.

For X7

Its pre-order price in Germany (according to Nokia’s online store) is €459 and €429 in Italy.
 
Any expectations as to when they may hit India and what may be their MRP and street price ?

He got the news long back :D

I am looking forward to Nokia's sturdy Camera and battery backup on the upcoming models.

Not to forget the (dual) speaker and the dedicated camera key as well. Willing to sacrifice Android purchase for these basic features which just wont show on a standard android phone.
 
donno why ppl are interested in a sinking ship...even thought nokia said it'll sink only by 2016

all these ANNA and future "updates" are just to slow down the rate of abandonment of the Nokia Brand which is happening in all markets.

And your point being ? Its a capable OS , does everything i want so why shouldn't i be interested ? Plus the hardware is great.

what else do you think is Nokia trying to do? Isnt making the updates the whole point of making the platform become a bit better and float longer?

I dont know about you, but I find a Sym^3 phone more than enough for me and I like the UI while others dont. I even love the games and the responsiveness(E7 lags, dunno why, C7 doesnt)
 
What people don't realize is they could revise their strategy if s^3 continues to do well and wm7 don't do well.

After all its is one of the most capable,refined (not in terms of UI) mobile OS's around with considerable amount of man hours already gone to it than any mobile OS in existence.
 
I think that the E6 will be priced at ~ 18k and the X7 will be priced a notch above the N8... say ~ 23-24k

But that is just my estimate...
 
E6-00 is one good looking device. I want to buy it for my sister but will have to wait till price drops to ~15k...

IMHO X7 should not be priced more than 20k..its just an ugly (design wise - personal opinion) version of C7 with 4" CBD :P
Keeping E7's price above N8 is ok coz it has one of the best physical keyboard + 4" CBD. X7 is just not good enough for 20k+

Most websites have just done a direct INR conversion and stated that it will be for 25k. But i hope not. Also if they price for what you said, i hope N8 comes below 20K and then i can think of that :P
Anyone working in Nokia please help me get some phone for cheap :ashamed:
 
Nokia India employees will be introduced to the E6-00 on the 11th of this month. Following this, the E6-00 should be launched officially for ~18k in the 3rd or 4th week.

Running Anna, of course.
 
^^Any idea about X7 ?? From what i saw on net, it should be 25k which is steep price for me. And yes i cannot afford to sell kidney for that :P

Btw do you expect prices of N8/E7 to plunge after this launch ?
 
X7 around 21-22k. May be more, not sure.

N8 should remain teh same, E7 should go down to 24k or so. My opinion only, so take with a sackful of salt.
