Hi all..
I m facing a freezing problem in my currently assembled system.
The system freezes every now and then. Specially when i try to update my windows performence score of when i run any multimedia application etc..
My pc specs are:-
Q9550, EVGA 790i ultra ocz platinum 2x2gb, seagate 500 gb hdd.

Also the mobos onboard LCD mini display shows 'FF' on it. Can someone pls suggest me what the problem can be..
All latest drivers have been installed and still this problem exists.
I have tried installing both win 7 32 bit and 64 bit.

How old is your system? Have you tried XP. Try xp first and if problem still exists then reconnect everything once, specially RAM,HDD connection. And if its running well in XP then there is an issue with your Win7 issue.Try installing a different issue of Win7.That might help I think.:)

Are you on any OC. Also update to latest Forceware drivers. Reset the BIOS also.

Have u checked the temperature of ur proccy...

PC freeze sometimes caused due to high temperature of proccy.

its 48-50 and sometimes goes upto 52-54.

Those CPU temps aren't normal bro .. Make sure u use a good thermal paste & try switching the RAM modules different slots.. 1 & 3 I guess :ashamed:

^^

Those temperatures are fine. Try another PSU. Do not report BIOS temperatures, cause they are unreliable, and the fan gradient drivers have not kicked in. Use RealTEMP, CoreTEMP.

realtemp shows same max temps went for 57c for a single core

Which is fine. Try what others suggested, and if you can manage, plug in another PSU.

PSU is workng fine with my core 2 duo setup. and its delta 600w.

Take out 1 Ram stick and run one stick at a time. Also use memtest86+ and check your memory.
Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

System freezes immidiately. Doesnt even handle windows performance score test.

Did you run memtest86+ and did OS reinstall?

Also use HD Tune website to test HDD for bad sectors/errors.Alternatively you can use chkdsk c:, chkdsk d:, chkdsk e:, chkdsk F: in command prompt to scan for bad sectors.

I have put a new HDD and replaced sata cable and now installing Vista. Will update once its done..

Installed Vista SP1 and everything is fine.. :(

dont know what is the problem with win7 64 bit..
NOw PLS HELP GUYS.... Hardware seems fine to me...
