TE improves english

Apostrophe before s for possessions of proper nouns.
No apostrophe for possessions of common nouns.

No apostrophe in its if it's implying possession and not it is.
And there is absolutely positively no such thing as its'.
 
Or as we used to say in England.

"You need to talk proper like what I does!"

Really!! It was a joke we used to say when we were kids, I think an old-school comedian made it a famous.
 
If you can replace it[']s in your sentence with it is or it has, then your word is it's; otherwise, your word is its.

"It's" vs. "Its"

I was using it the other way. So, in a way TE did improve my English!
 
Epic thread !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Increasing the language in 1month to 1 day:D, doubting the authentication of the FIRST place holders, reciting imported sayings :P, it has all the salt-chilly-pepper to make a classic hit. Yummy !!!!!!!!!!
