I did that already and Accel confirmed no Global warranty and thats when I refered to the below mail from Seagate.....

Yes it can be replaced in India, but you need to contact us again by call or by email in future to get the approval and you need to fill up some information and attach the email with your proof of purchase.
With the approval you can have this hard drive replaced without any issue.
