dude neither cogage or 212 evo is a worthy upgrade from 212+.. go for a noctua u12p se2 at least..

as far as TIM silver 5 is electrically conductive.. tx-2 is far safer and better.. might also consider mx-2

BTW u still in bangalore?? have enough tx-2 for two more applications.. can give it to you..

I am happy with the stock AMD HSF just that it gets very, very, very noisy on load

... which is one of the prime reasons i have seen quite a few guys get a 3rd party cpu cooler for Phenom II processors, especially X4/X6-

even those (n00bs) who usually wouldn't think of buying one- unlike like some of us who are compelled to buy one just for the lower temps under load (irrespective of OCing or not)

AFAIK the TS only support socket 1366 so you may have to source AMD mounting brackets separately or custom make one. Otherwise this is the best budget cooler one can get.

Other options may be the HR-2 Macho 140mm..should cost 2.5-2.8kish shipped.

Already have a fresh tube of Tuniq TX-2.

Unfortunately the Noctua NH-U12P SE2 is waaaay out of budget for me, I mean 3900/- and not even using a fraction of its potential as I don't want to over-clock beyond ~4.5 GHz and that also for bench runs.

Main reason is what #BIKeINSTEIN Sire has pointed out.

Thanks for the offer, Cheers!!

A link will be helpful, Sire. Cheers!!

Yes, true spirit doesnt come with amd brackets. SCCF works really well for AMD proccys. Just add in a higher cfm fan on it. COmes with a fan controller and fresh tube of tx-2 as well.

Yep SCCF is a nice cooler for older intel stuff prolly one of the best coolers from that time, its pretty shit on a 920 though, I have one.

Just had a speak with the guys at Prime ABGB they don't have the AMD bracket, now am stuck with the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO.

Will talk to the guys at The ITWares hope they have the bracket. Cheers!!

Okay looks like things are going up after all, might be getting the Thermalright Cogage TRUE Spirit :crosses fingers:.

Just checked up the support list for the Thermalright [from the official page -- http://www.thermalri...at_id=27&id=180], my motherboard checks out with the default backplate and mounting bracket.

What is the latest price of Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo at Lamington Street?

Should be around ~2200/-.

Hope this helps, Cheers!!

Guys I got a Noctua NH-U12P SE2, could not control the impulse not to get it. Will post a write about that soon. Stay frosty!!
