You know what. My wife wants to read this book so i told her i have put this on TE but there is chance it will be deleted soon. So she questions me that why and whether it is illegal or something ? I just told her it might be against the rules.
She says me then loaning a physical book from a friend should be illegal too :p

I would give GoT a try but with my highly demotivated nature when it comes to books, i am not sure if i would be able to. Also i would be interested in reading while traveling but then reading an ebook on the phone would be pain (unless i had a note 2 or something).
 
I am having trouble reading those big books - books with 600+ pages. They become kinda heavy and difficult to held while reading in the bed. (reading the middle pages - say page #300 to #500 in 800 page book - still manageable). Currently I am reading 'Shantaram' and that's a huge book (~850 pages).
So, I had downloaded a soft copy and I'm reading in my mobile (4.8" is small but manageable). Plus when in mobile, I can read few pages while traveling or even in office when I'm free.

Thought of buying a Kindle, but I love 'buying/collecting' books. So buying the hard copy, downloading and reading softcopy - well, doesn't make sense. (Sorry I have never considered buying soft copies. :P)

I had bought first two books of ASOIAF a long ago (got a very good deal. both books for 350 bucks). But they are still pending because of the huge volume.
 
ASOIAF is one of those easy to put on hold books (atleast for me), i bought it a year ago, after watching 2 seasons back to back, i was like '**** it, i'll complete the whole series before the 3rd season' and thank god i only ordered the first book...i am around halfway around after putting it down on hold multiple times and have almost zero motivation to complete even the first one now.

well, it was quite the opposite for me. But then I anyway love to read books. Completed the set in a month and cant wait for Winds of Winter.
 
I can easily go through 600+ pages books easily on a holiday. All I do on such a day is eat and read the book.
Also I don't find it easy to critique a book as in there is yet to be a book which I think I have wasted my time reading including all the Chetan Bhagat books.
 
Anyone here is member of the book renting shop / library called "Just Books" ?
Need opinions about them. My wife may be planning to get a basic membership from them.

Thanks guys. Quite liked the 'The Krishna Key' but it wasn't in stock. So I ordered 'The Aryavarta Chronicles: Govinda by Krishna Udayasankar'. Looking forward to get my hands on the book.

Game of Thrones and LOTR - These are series which i have not touched till date, neither read or seen. I'm waiting for an undisturbed few days where i am going to devour both these one by one.

well at Rs. 500 bucks a month for 2 books , its quite expensive compared to other similar services.

If you read a mainly fiction, it will be almost enough to buy a book or two if you look out for discounts/sale.
Electronic editions of most books end up around the $7-10 mark.

It's not 2 books a month... it's unlimited books a month, 2 books at a time.
