The Dead Space thread!

People who have loved this game as a horror title, an honest request, please play Condemned: Criminal Origins. It's way better than this game and has a superb storyline.

Quite an old title. Almost 5 years old. Would it be worthwhile playing now? I mean the graphics et al? :)

OLD? Play the PC version with everything on high and watch the age old engine come to life. Dude, this game will give you the chills for a lifetime. I can personally stand by this title and vouch for it. Heck, even it's sequel on the console was kick-ass. Not playing this would be a capital sin for missing one of the best horror titles.
 
^^+ you dont need a dark room to enjoy its horror feeling.A dim or a well lit room will also do.:D Music is also epic.quite gloomy i would rather say it matches with the environment perfectly.
Since i have not completed dead space thereore i cant say which one is better.But dead space till now sure gave me many jumpy moments when i first encountered that long boss creature in chapter 3 i think.:D

Though in my view dead space and this game is quite different though the genre is the same.therefore comparing them wouldn't be justified.Just my view.

As long as this game has any arsenal, it doesn't come close to Amnesia.

Anyways thanks for the recommendation, certainly on my backlogs' list. :p

Just play the game. Once done, get the PS3 version of the sequel.

@quan: If I had to choose the best overall horror experience, then I would have chosen Condemned over Dead Space. Not comparing anything between these 2 games.
 
Guys now it is becoming a bit boring i am in chapter 8.Doing the same stuff again and again visiting the same area again and again with same stupid enemies is getting tiresome now.does it have an interesting moments later.

Well condemned is a something you dont come across every now and then. and this is too like that i'll say . really hated the new RE5 though.

@Blurr ...infact the last boss was disappointing for me i expected something unique( like the game ) , it was not, it felt unfinished.

That was the only thing stopping this good game from being great.

Come to think of it, it was rather easy except at the point where that thing grabs hold of us(a pretty cool sequence).

When you said unique did you expect a giant spider or something? This game turned out to be just as I expected - phenomenal.

And what do you mean by "new" RE4?

oh sorry it was the new ( as in the latest installment of re) re5 ....re4 was phenomena. no complaints about it

No i never said i expected a giant spider, the thing was giant enough. But some chase sequence or some thing like miving somewhere else or running sometimes. you get me right ?
 
hm..... that would be nice. Like I said the final boss was pretty easy, perhaps we can expect something better in Dead Space 2.
 
Oh yeah, Dead Space 2 cometh! ETA 3 months. w00t! :eek:hyeah:

I should try Condemned: Criminal Origins once I am done with Mass Effect I. I'll give ME2 a shot later after a good 1-2 months' break. :)
