Oh man, awesome match! Miserable fielding in the end, but we pulled it together.

Now if only Gilchrist can work his magic with the bat in the semis, chargers are soo into the finals.

Amazing performance by DC, and Gilchrist, we are witnessing one of the greatest of all time players, even when hes failing to score, his captaincy is outstanding
 
Brilliant match by DC. And CSK as well. If not for Dhoni's 2 sixes towards the last balls, we wouldn't have made it to the semis. :ashamed:
 
oh man. it's over. Hat's off to DC. From 7th and staring at shameful exit, they charged like an angry bull shoving off other teams. They proved that last year's win was no fluke and they are the only other team apart from MI on a roll.

Why the hell do the commentators keep saying that the top 3 teams after the 14 matches will play in the Champions Legaue. :mad: :S

It's actually the finalists and the winner of the third-place play-off who qualify.

So, even if you are the 4th position, you could still qualify (like DC did last year).
 
^^ It is like this: Winner; Runner-up and the top team in the league stage will qualify. So suppose it is a MI vs DC final, both these teams, and the top in the leagues stage, CSK in this case, will qualify.

no. there is a play-off between the teams that lose in semis for a place in champions league. CL T20 places are not at all depending on standings in league stage.
 
^ Yup they have changed rules this time. The losing semi-finalists will play a play-off game this saturday to determine the 3rd team in the CLT20.

MI turned up because they had to :p

No Sachin, Zaheer, Malinga, Bhajji, KP.

New players sent @ top of the order, and predictably they lost.

So anyone going for semis? good tickets are available thanks to last minute venue change.
 
Duh... it seems most of the players and management didn't find it worth wasting time and energy playing with KKR. :p

KKR ain't going to Semis and MI won't be losing anything loss or win. So all the extras got to play today and the match just happened for the sake formality. :)
