@Nehal - Sorry sorry was pulling Gannus leg again. Its a Vinyl turntable. A must have for any true audiophile. :)

What arm is that? Doesn't seem like a Rega arm.

Looks like a technics/stanton/lenco type S arm.

Also what cart and phono pre are you using?

You'd do well to buy a rega rb300 or higher and a nice cart. It'll sound a lot lot nicer :).

Great buy anyway! Enjoy spinning vinyls.

It's a Rega R200 arm (from before the RB shift) . A pretty decent arm (if the anti-skate is working correctly), from all indications on forums online.

Rega R200 Owners Manual, Service Manual, Schematics, Free Download | Vinyl Engine

The cart is a Grado ZF1. I don't see an immediate need to update, I might get a new phono preamp though. I got something off ebay to initially jusdt get it working. Now that I am fairly confident I will continue buying music on vinyl, I might get a better one. (Or a receiver with a built-in phono stage.)

Also, I agree with stalker. I buy vinyl mostly for the large artwork and because a lot of new LPs come with mp3 download codes (All for a couple of dollars more than buying the albums off itunes/amazon.)

got these delivered y'day..

Hm... the Japanese origin of that arm confused me since I've never seen a rega with a removable headshell :). The Grado ZF1 is a very decent cartridge if its in good condition. Not sure if its a great match though. Normally Grados like low mass tone arms and this one doesn't seem like one. This would do better with a cheap shure or denon.

@m2m: those tubes look like they're a bit stretched. Could you not have mounted it with the block mounted 90' anti-clockwise from the present position? Or is it that this is what Corsair recommends?
