I love Advanced tomato. Havent used xwrt.
If you are a prosumer, advanced tomato works really well. All major stuff works well and looks good. If you have specific needs then search and then decide.

Its a Dell XPS 15 9570. Cost me around 1500$.
Config : i7 8750H, 16Gb RAM, 1050Ti MQ, 512Gb ssd, 4k touch.

Finished putting everything together late last night. Need to update BIOS, change RAM speeds, clean up wiring, yada yada. Will tackle it another day, for now its up and running phew.

Old vs new. Almost 10 years between these

PS : Bought a xeon. Like all shintels deserve IMO this will become my keychain

Not done yet, thining if I want to delid and just keep the HSF as a keychain or the entire processor. It was purchased solely to make a keychain though

Its some closed cell foam, similar to AC pipe insulation. My knee keeps hitting the cabinet and this foam feels nice and plush
