Hmm.. this tour proved credentials of Kohli, Pathan over Raina, Yujraj..
At least Yuvraj consolidated with his bowling, but Raina will still be preferred based on his big hitting in subcontinent.
Good to see Pathan actually choosing bad balls to hit, rather than reckless hitting, a la Afridi

Totally worried about world cup. 3 Players (Sachin, shewag, Gambir) are cmming out of injury. 2 Players Completely out of form (Dhoni, Raina). No Guarentee that kohli would play and Munaf Patel will fire. Yuvraj I think has scored less runs than raina in the series.

i think gambhir would had been a better captain dhoni for this tour of fit.
I still fail to understnad why chawla is their in team.The team this days look more to be ipl flavour lobbying rather than providing opportunities in absence of shewag,sachin.
Also i fail to understand how all greats get all well but in tours they are down with injuries.Though benefit of doubt can be given to sachin as he do missed first ipl games in great numbers.

Sachin took a break from srilanka series (or some series after he hit that 200 runs) if i am not wrong but played champions Trophy. He is no saint. Only thing is he keeps his mouth shut.
Also why does rohit sharma and Murali vijay are being selected as replacements. They are failing again and again. These people should be replaced by new set of replacements so that chances are being given to new players.

Well in that case Cricket Australia forced Hussey and Bollinger to play in CL T20 coz its the Indian, Australian and CSA board that organises this tournament and you cant have your players missing from it.sg3707 said:

Anyways he is certain to retire from ODI's after the WC. He never played a ODI after the SA series in Feb 2010 till this year. At 37 one has pick and choose games rather than playing all games and get injured.

i completely agree with you.... has anybody noticed total number of runs Dhoni scored in SA ODI series....we need to throw him out. look at ponting....if he dont score there is hell after him but here Dhoni seems enjoying his place by doing nothing..DarkAngel said:

If Sachin skipping SL ODIs and playing in CL T20 is unacceptable then there are loads of players who have retired from Intl cricket and playing in IPL and CL T20 instead of representing their country. Whatever argument you have they will come up with another meaningless counter. I try hard not to reply to such posts but couldn't stand any Sachin bashing From previous editions accordingly this time India should lift the cup

So by this trend he performs excellently in even WCs and when he performs well India reaches knock outs. Go Tendlya. You deserve this cup. Make us proud
