2011 - Sachin's 6th WC (MOM in fianls and MOS) - India wins WC

I'd love that to happen, unfortunately missed his 200 :(

If not MOM than MOS atleast

BTW doesn't anyone here think that Y. Pathan should be promoted up the batting order? He should come at the 5th spot or could even open I reckon.

Dhoni I think is better off down the batting order as I've never really seen him perform good when he has promoted himself up.

An alternate batting order:

Sehwag

Y. Pathan

Sachin Tendulkar

Gautam Gambhir

Virat Kohli

Yuvraj Singh

MS Dhoni

There is always a set of anti-sachin fans out there :P If Sachin skipping SL ODIs and playing in CL T20 is unacceptable then there are loads of players who have retired from Intl cricket and playing in IPL and CL T20 instead of representing their country. Whatever argument you have they will come up with another meaningless counter. I try hard not to reply to such posts but couldn't stand any Sachin bashing :)
There are loads of such morons, and as you have said as much as i try to ignore them they just shout in your face all the time. I see similar sentiments directed towards another all time great in a different sport, Roger Federer. Its like people are baying for his blood. Its like Rafa has beaten him more times so Roger is done, doesnt deserve or is simply overrated cause he won his Slam titles against lesser opposition. I love Rafa, i love Roger too, even more. What these two legends bring to the sport is beyond stats. When was the last time you saw a player make 23 (IIRC) consecutive SF appearances, or 27 straight QF, or played 44 Slam Opens consecutively. I could go on about Roger but thats not the point here.

Sachin and Roger are often victims of their own success. Age, wear and tear, slowing reflexes, amount of time spent in playing, changing and improving opposition cannot be a excuse for these legends in the minds of those who bring them down all the time.

As for me, i ignore those people by deriving pleasure in the next perfectly timed backfoot square drive from Sachin or a gliding forehand winner from Roger... wahhh !!!

Should be Parthiv in place of Dhoni

and Pathan doesn't have the technique against new ball; more often than not, he should be facing the spinners

And, if Raina overcomes his short ball fears then he can be a success story in this WC

Btw, didn't we miss the service of Jadeja in SA :P

Sachin should open. Thats his best role in ODI's IMHO. Gambhir is excellent against spin too and anyways he will come in within 8-10 overs after viru gets out for a 30 (24) :P

Sehwag
Sachin Tendulkar
Gautam Gambhir
Virat Kohli (Currently 2nd in ICC ODI bastmen ratings. It would be madness to drop him such form)
Yuvraj Singh (Best 5th bowling option. Impact player)
MS Dhoni
Y. Pathan (Floater. How can they drop him after 105(70) against SA in SA. 2 100's and 1 fifty in last 5 innings. Bangla will play with 3 spinners. Madness if they choose to leave him out)

Ideally Yusuf should be used as a floater and should come in the ~20-35 over mark when spinners are in operation. He can make real damage in the usally low scoring middle overs.

Sehwag,Sachin Tendulkar,Gautam Gambhir are all recovering from injuries. So if one of them is not 100% by Feb 19th then they can always fall back to Raina as back up.
