Guys is there anyways using any app I can transfer videos from my PC to iPad using Wifi?

Stock iPad format videos of any format video ? For the stock videos, i think wifi sync might work but for the non iPad format videos, you can use AV Player HD and it has facility to add videos over wifi (using a webpage on desktop and uploading through that).

You can use AVplayer for wifi file transfer, till I remember there is an option there to do that!

By stock videos are you referring to the video formats supported by iPad? For starters let me convert those videos and then transfer them over wifi from my PC to iPad. So I will try Wifi sync there. This should work right?

Now coming to the second point, I can't transfer HD Videos not supported by iPad over wifi right?

Read couple of articles indicating AVPlayer is not currently available in iTunes market. I don't want to jailbreak to use this.

So for the time being I will convert the videos to iPad format and transfer using Wifi Sync.
Please confirm

You do not need to jailbreak for installing the app which is not there in app store. You can use iFunbox (download from internet) and connect the iPad to PC like you usually do but instead of using iTunes, open iFunbox and you will be able to navigate your iPad and also install apps provided you have the IPA file. Check your PM for details about the AV Player.

Hey this is news to me! So what of the number of PCs restriction? With iTunes I think it was limited to 5 or so. Is there any such limitation with iFunbox? I mean can you use the iPad to transfer the content from any number of PCs?

Many thanks man. This can be a life saver to me!

Guys i am planning to get a tab. Usage would be ebooks, lots of movies, browsing and ocassionally games.

Have heard that ipad is the ruler in tab category. Would want to know is ipad 1 worth buying?

Financially restricted to that choice. :P

I would like like to know more about this too. Will this work on iOS 6 ?

This is what you do..

1. Go to whatever website you know and download the .IPA file
2. Now you have the .IPA file in your pc.
3. Open iFunbox in your PC and navigate to User Applications on left side of the app, on right you will see all your apps installed currently on the iPad / iPhone / iPod Touch.
4. There will be button called "Install from PC" or something, use that, locate the just downloaded IPA and the app will be installed.

This thing works on any iOS version i believe. You can check the iFunbox's website for details.

One can also use iFunbox to copy IPA from iOS device to PC. Just remember one thing, when trying to copy IPA to PC, right click the app icon within iFunbox and click Backup IPA. Mentioning this explicitly since there is also an option of COPY TO PC just besides INSTALL FROM PC in the top bar and the copy to PC does not backup IPA but you get a extracted zip file type layout which is not what we want.

Depends on what model it is and how cheap you are getting it for.

What can be the expected price? Say a good condition ipad. Warranty and years, dont matter anyways!

Will it be a better choice or must i go for something android, new in the same cost!

Can you suggest what uses you will have for the tablet ? This will help us in zeroing down whether iPad or an Android tablet is something you should get ?

Mentioned it earlier bro. Ebooks, file hiding apps, document viewing and editing, lots of movie playback, browsing a lot and ocassional gaming.

Just see the screen in person
if its fine fir you then its much better than android tabs at the moment

So many versatile apps and games

Go for ipad

So i am in the market for the iPad. Struck out the 1st gen iPad. Now left with the other 2 gen between which i am seriously confused. Is the new ipad really an upgrade over the ipad 2? The retina display thing is really a fuss to spend over as a premium?
My main use would be gaming and videos. Cant really decide which of the two should i go for??! And is the 16gig storage enough?
What should i choose? 25k for a used ipad2 64 gb wifi or 25k for a used ipad 3 16gb wifi?

I have not really used the iPad 3 but i own an iPad 2 wifi 3G, so my opinion is based only on the 5 minutes i spent with the iPad 3 in the showroom. For me, i was not able to find any difference. People say, that if you look at ebooks and something else you will notice. But i am not really doing that and don't want to go lookout for something i cannot easily perceive. Moreover i have read about the iPad 3 having wifi issue and heating problems, and it takes lot of time to charge them (vs iPad2).
Also money was a concern for me so i eventually bought an iPad 2 and am happy with it.

Looks like i'll be favouring the ipad 2 then. So what do you think should be a good price for a fair cpnditoon used 64gb ipad 2 wifi? no warranty and all boxed accessories. I have seen wifi+4g 64gb versions go for around 26k on the forums itself.

If your main usage is going to be gaming and videos then take a good look at the Ipad3. Going forward, you will require the extra processing power that the 3 has for newer games and regarding videos, the HD videos look better on the Ipad 3. It also has a better camera etc. I'm an Ipad 2 owner and would recommend you get the 3 looking at your requirements. If all you needed it for was browsing and stuff like Skype and all then the 2 would have sufficed. Go for the Ipad 3.
