Apple sales more than 5 million iPhones in just 3 days. What a great achievment!! Apple launched new iPhone 5 on 12th September. Now Nokia & Samsung were waiting to see what Apple is holding. In San Francisco Apple's chief executive Tim Cook, was expected to show off the iPhone 5. As always, Apple confirmed nothing until they launched any product, they always keep secret about their upcoming devices. iPhone 5 has a larger 4 inch retina display and it is thinner that its predecessors, and it also have A6 processor which is enough for any portable device.

The features of iphone 5:

1) 4 inch retina display : It now boasts 326ppi and a resolution of 1136x640, it's equally as bright and slightly richer in colour.

2) iOS 6 : The iphone 5 comes with iOS 6 standards, this iOS 6 is also used in Iphone 4s but its interesting to see which one will more compatible with this iOS 6.

3) 4G : Lets test how 4G works, let it be known that EE will be the first UK operator to offer a 4G package , Wireless spec improvements for iPhone 5 include HSPA+, DC-HSDPA and, finally, dual-band N Wi-Fi.

4) Camera : The rear iSight camera remains impressive, taking great pictures in bright conditions. There’s a bigger virtual camera capture button and video stabilisation seems to have improved. The new Panorama mode is intuitive and produces great results.

5) Maps : Apple Maps will divide opinions. Even with some nice features the search functionality seems hit and miss in terms of finding London locations. It displays more road names, places, towers, main restaurants etc. The extra screen length does give turn by turn Maps navigation.

6) Passbook : This feature is really interesting, all the retailers and the businessment need to sign up, its free but one person or organization should do only once.

7) Performance : All the things that this iphone have operates very smoothly. Everything feels slightly slicker when navigating the phone. Apps taking less time to load or its quicker that the older one, video feels a touch smoother, video and image processing is really faster.

^ Most of the features the guy talked about were in Symbian even 7-8 yrs ago.

That is the point. I was anointed an Android fag for defending my thoughts, tit for tat.

The glory is Apple can get away with calling Panorama a revolutionary feature, when early Symbian Smart-phones and Android phones had it all along. There are plenty of examples as you can see in the video.

Why did not NOKIA stand on its war-wagon and roll out lawsuits against SAMSUNG?

All fine and dandy Sire.

But I can interpret the above mentioned, read 'emboldened' any which way I please.

If you buy a phone, PC, camcorder (OR any other electronic consumable) only by looking at its benchmark numbers then everyone of us should tote around an Intel powered PC, nVidia Kepler graphics card and nothing but D-SLR's with Instagram on our smartphones.

I am not going to say SAMSUNG / Google are Angels but the fact is, I will be able to do a lot, maybe every 'revolutionary' feature that the iPhone5 has introduced with an Android device that retails at half-price, 4" screen -- SAMSUNG Galaxy S Advance / Ace 2, MOTOROLA Atrix 2; Panorama picture capability -- SONY XPERIA go / Sola / U (just download a simple application from the Google store / Apple App Store); slim and light, if you cannot carry a ~150gm phone too bad mate you need to seriously build up.

All we (at-least the most sane and rational ones of us) are saying is that Apple should seriously do a little bit of fact finding before calling its products 'revolutionary'. They kicked Google Maps fine but they hamstrung a lot of users with a sub-par experience (Google services are not perfect) but seriously to screw up with the wondrous disappearances and relocations -- London, is not in England on the Thames it is in Ontario state, Canada. Huh!

A stupid new proprietary connector, SONY backed off its vindictive streak by packing up its proprietary standards like that stupid charger / ear-phone plug-point in the Sony Ericsson handsets and the SONY M2 /MMC flash-memory line.

And I have no qualms if you feel I have flamed you because you see we are a free nation (thankfully) and we can harbour our own thoughts on certain facts and this means we need to have a slightly thick skin to deflect criticism of our view points OR whilst airing our dirt in the public. No hard feelings. Peace!

iPhone 4 launched :
Android fags : Ooh, what a shitty hardware, I have pentacore CPU, 6GB RAM, 20MP camera and it still lags. iPhone is sooo yesterday

iPhone 5 launched :
*iPhone 5 outperforms every smartphone*
Android fags : Ooh, benchmarks are not everything

^ bummer.please don't be true man or i will be stuck with my note. Its not that my note is bad but the itch for an upgrade has turned into a proper scratch.

Tried iPhone 5 at local apple store here. It is definitely lighter and feels so. The OS is still same (as everyone knows) so not learning curve for people coming from iOS devices. Tried the 3D maps and all buildings look like they are melting. Screen is bigger but personally it does not feel that bigger. Possibly because it is marginally bigger than 3.5" and moreover it is only taller rather than being wider and taller.
I would say stay with iPhone 4/4S if you like iOS but if you seriously want a bigger screen then consider the android variants like S3/Note or other phones which have 4.3" or more screen size.
