Is Nokia 5630 XM better or Nokia 6700 classic in terms of overall features?

Another query was My bro in USA can get me good deal for Nokia 5800 XM but its US version, will it work in india or there are complications?

Nokia 5630 XM Vs Nokia 6700C :

Nokia 5630 XM

+ Wi-Fi

+ 3.5mm audio jack

+ Symbian OS

+ Better Battery Life

Nokia 6700 Classic

+ Better Camera (5MP, AF)

+ More Stylish

+ GPS

+ Accelerometer sensor

Both have a decent set of features but listed above are the key differences between the two models that should help you decide.

And you'll be able to use the NA version of the 5800XM only on the GSM networks.

Not compatible with 3G/WCDMA networks here.

Hope this helped.

Just get OMNIA HD for 28-29. It can play 720p videos also without converting in divx,xvid,h.264,wmv,mp4 etc. Its best out there for playing videos at the moment due to its GORGEOUS screen.

^ Indeed.
The Samsung i8910 Omnia HD (27.6K*) is your best option ! :hap2:

What's more?
The Omnia HD is getting a major firmware upgrade.

Go for samsung c170 for around 2k - extremely slim and stylish.

Poor battery life.

TTM thanks for the reply.I am still confused which one to go for :S
5530 and 5230 will hit india soon.Should I wait for these two?
Some one suggested me to take N79 for budget 15k.
Which one would you have taken if u had 14k-15k in hand :p

Hi folks,

Need reco for a phone around 10-12k, main features being email / mp3 (podcasts) / light surfing. I am guessing wifi would be a must-have ?

Looked at the omnia pro b7320 available for 13.5 - any feedback, or alternatives ?

Touch screen is not a must - qwerty is fine.

Ideally, the choice is between the Samsung B7320 OmniaPRO (13.6K*) and Nokia E63 (10.8K*).

While the former has a better camera & GPS, the latter has better battery life and sports a 3.5mm audio jack.

OS : Standard WinMo 6.1 Vs S60 V3.1
Camera : 3MP/AF Cam Vs 2MP Cam/ LED Flash

Apart from what I've listed above, both offer the same level of functionality.

IMHO, the Nokia E63 sure is VFM !

If you were considering the Nokia 5800 XM (13.3K*) , then the Nokia 5530 XM is worth waiting for, considering the improved design and smaller ^ price tag.

That said, the Nokia 5230 just offers a bigger display and better battery life with the inclusion of GPS.

The Nokia N79 (14.3K*) is a popular all-in-one package offering Symbian functionality.

Last but not the least, my requirements may differ from yours so you'll have to have a clear idea of what you need.

Hello, I have a Sony Ericsson W910 and a Nokia N79. Im thinkin of selling these phones and getting approximately 20k and after adding 5k, I have a budget of 25k!

Can someone recommend a decent phone for me?

My preferense is it should be moddable (like I can edit the UI) and stable firmware (Something which both the W910 and N79 didnt have!). I would also like to try a touch phone but not the Jet (the facebook fan page is filled with complaints!)

Is it possible for me to get a Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 in India 2nd hand?

Your Options :

LG KM900 Arena ~ 24.9K*
Samsung i900 Omnia ~ 25.5K*

Between the two, the Omnia can be modded to an extent.

Hmm will be buying a phone in November, but need help in shortlisting phones. My budget is 12k, and:

Required

1. A decently loud speaker phone, seem to miss quite a few calls in noisy environment.

2. Office suites will be a nice extra

3. A decent browser to check web-mail, and other basic sites.

4. Good clear screen, with high bit rate colors

Features I can overlook

1. MP3 player/audio capability

2. Camera

Hey!

Looking to get a phone soon (couple of months)

budget ~15K

stuff I want,

-good msging, so no touch screen

-Wifi for browsing etc,

-S60

-shouldn't be too bulky (so no full qwerty phone)

-3.5mm audio out

Not to interested in the camera..

was looking at the 5730, N79.. are they any other options?

The perfect device for you is the Nokia E63 (10.9K*) !

The only downside being the rather average audio quality which I suggest you verify in person.

A similar option is the Samsung C6625 (10.8K*) which unfortunately lacks Wi-Fi and has an average battery life.

Last but not the least, the SE T700 (11.3K*) which in spite of being a popular all-rounder, lacks any kind of office applications.

That apart, there's the Asus P526 & P527. :p

Hope this helps.

Looks like the Nokia N79 (14.4K*) is your only option !

The SE W705 (13.9K*) is your next best option but lacks both, the desired (S60) OS and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The soon to be launched Nokia 5730 XM is a good option but with a slide-out QWERTY keypad, its bound to be bulky(heavy).

Hope this helps.

thanks ttm!

I meant bulky as in the front profile, like the E63, weight not an Issue.. :)

but if I was to over look that, what would be my options?

hopefully, the 5730 gets launched with a sub 15k price tag.. Univercell pegs it at 15k aprox.. what do you think?
