I bought the Nokia 6700 Classic around 2 weeks ago and I am loving it. Thanks TIM!

My friend wants to buy a phone and he is confused between - e72 or N97 or BB BOLD or curve. N97 is too expensive so I advised him against it. E72 or BB Bold or something similar?

Heard that 6700 classic has excellent 5 mp camera. Try to post few pictures taken with it. Will like to know how good / bad it is compared to N82 .
For ur friend either E72 or N97 mini..

It's TTM. :P

Anyway, does this friend have a budget in mind?
Among the shortlisted ones, the Nokia E72 wins hands down !
~ T.T.M ~

No budget. He is ready to buy the N97 so no budget.

He is leaning towards Blackberry because of BBM...

So E72 is the best right?

When is the N97 Mini releasing?

Want to buy a simple phone for my MOM :

1. Budget :4-5k

2. Simplicity is the KEY

3. Not too much into messaging,

4. Slider would be an advantage. . also am a NOKIA fanboi.

5. Looks should be good as well.

6. Should have Mp3 capability.

7. Decent camera , not too good. 2M would be more than enuff.

Any suggestions ?

Only if he is intent on getting the Blackberry Internet service, should he consider the BlackBerry Bold 9000.

Else the Nokia E72 should do !

It might take a while before the N97 mini hits stores here.

Your Options :

Samsung S3310 ~ 4.5K* (Average battery life)
Samsung S3500 ~ 5K*
Nokia 5130 XM ~ 5.1K*

No low-end sliders from Nokia. :(

Hi TTM,

I am planning to get a phone within the 6K range.

Looking for a phone with good music capability.

In your opinion which would be the best in this range and also more durable as in intend keeping this phone for 2-3 years.. Nokia 5130 or Samsung M2710?

If you want a simple, no-frills music phone, consider the M2710 Beat.
Also check out my review on the same.

The Nokia 5130 on the other hand offers an all too familiar S40 OS that supports a variety of (java) applications and themes.

As far as music playback goes, there's very little difference between them.

It would be best if you could check out both devices in person.

Thanks TTM. Yes i checked your review. That is precisely what made me consider the Samsung M2710.I will try to check the phones in person.More inclined towards the samsung coz i havent seen it much in the market.. 5130 is way too common.

Hi,

My dad wants a business phone. The company is paying so there is no budget cap. He would like a touchscreen and a QWERTY keyboard. Word, excel etc. are a must. That's about it. So no unnecessary features (except the camera). He's been talking along the lines of N97, Pro 2, Storm and pro.

P.S. Could some compare the pro and pro 2 and explain why pro 2 is worth more money?

How is the BlackBerry Bold 9700 compared to the BlackBerry Bold 9000?

I heard the 9700 just came out a few days ago...

Also, is it better than the E72?

The Bold 9700 is definitely better than the Bold 9000. Hadn't mentioned it earlier due to its availability.

As such, the 9700 Bold is good enough for the intended purpose but the Nokia E72 offers a richer feature set and VFM, if priced right !

Hope this helps.

The best option for a Touchscreen + QWERTY device = HTC Touch Pro2 :cool2:

A less bulkier option with a better camera would be the Nokia N97.

1. The accelerometer shouldn't be the deciding factor , esp. for a small display.
Now, there aren't many inputs on the particular model, so I won't be able to provide feedback. As far as specs go, it is a decent option.

2. Cheapest GPS enabled phone : SE TM506 ~ 9.6K*

~ T.T.M ~

I am unable to find SE TM506 in the market. Can you suggest me some other cheap GPS enabled option.

Hey, could ya kindly suggest a phone for me..

My main requirements would be,

-Music (3.5mm jack)

-Good for texting
