Alright then, any recommended samsung cdma phones under 2k?

shailesh1986 said:
which model would you recommend? I don't know much about cdma models :(

Are you planning to get one from Reliance or Tata Indicom?
If so, please visit the store and find out what they currently have to offer in the price range.

We can then help you decide.

Any Dual Sim (can use simultaneously) handset, good quality (no problem with Chinese phone), good battery life, MP3, FM with expandable memory card, under 2k?

How about Sigmatel S9000? under 1.5k?

Thanks

Orion 903 ~ 2.1K*

I am planning to buy Samsung Star or Samsung Star 3G?
Which one is a good one? (I am not going to use internet)

You can also suggest a good touch phone in that range (9 to 11K)

Thanks in advance.

Between the LG Cookie and the Samsung Star, I'd suggest the latter.

There's also a WiFi edition of the Star for 10K.

If you need a capacitive touchscreen display, 3G and camera flash, your only option would be the Samsung Star 3G.

And If you want a really good camera, there's the Samsung F480 (12.5K*).

It does have poor battery life and misses out on WiFi.

pls disregard this

As i told b4, i am not going to use internet much, so 3G wont be useful for me.

Yesterday i went to shop and compared Star and Star3G. I noticed that Star has sharp display but STAR3g was little blur.

If you see the specifications... Star has 262 color TFT while STAR3G has 16M color TFT. In this case STAR 3G should have good display than STAR, but it was other way round. not sure why?

Whether the display is sharp or not is not decided by the colour support rather its display resolution/size.

(Star) 240 x 400 pixels, 3.0 inches Vs (Star 3G) 240 x 320 pixels, 2.8 inches

And 3G is essentially to watch streaming content and make video calls.

For basic browsing GPRS+EDGE would suffice.

Any suggestion about LAVA mobiles, battery backup is quite good (as per specification), LAVA price range is 2.6k - 3.5 k :)

Hi,

My phone died on me today, hence looking for a new phone. Would like to have following features

1. Budget 10k max.
2. Mp3 player capability.
3. Bluetooth
4. 3.5mm jack for headphones or is it possible to listen to music on bluetooth headphones (not sure).
5. Decent camera.
6. Would prefer nokia/SE
Are there any upcoming models that are worth waiting for a few months?

Would appreciate your inputs.

Thanks,
Mohit

If your looking for a good music device, the Nokia 5310 XM is still a good option ! The only downside being its average camera.

Most SE devices miss out on a 3.5mm audio jack but one can always use a bluetooth headset which in turn takes a toll on the battery life.

The Nokia 5330 XM should be available within the next few months.

That seems to be their USP. :p

1800 mAh on a low-end device ! :O

Their handsets seem decent enough but try getting some user feedback before you actually buy one.

This is the first time I'm hearing about the brand.

The company promoted by Hari Om Rai, Sunil Bhalla and Shailendra Nath Rai promises affordable, superior quality phones with strong after sale services. The company strongly opposes the cheap and inferior quality handsets and thereby sticking to its vision of Total Quality Management and innovation the company seeks to service its customers with high quality , reliable handsets.

Only time will tell.
