The Sigmatel S9000 looks like a joke compared to the lava handsets.

Couldn't find their website as well.

Either the Nokia 2700 Classic or the Nokia 5130 XM.

You could also consider the LG GM200. :p

Low-end Nokia devices are slowly loosing out to Samsung devices that seem VFM !

Sturdy
Good keypad
Loud ring tone volume
Clear call reception
Decent enough display (not the too small ones)
Easy interface

no other features required (can be there though)

My cousin told that U can get Samsung Corby for ~7K in gray...

Would samsung Corby be better option than the above mentioned mobiles???

Depends, if you are looking for a budget touchscreen device this is definitely an option. It's simple by design, has decent features and is affordable !

The 2.8" display will be useful while watching videos and surfing the internet.

Overall, a simple yet fun device. :)
