Dark Angel,
I would like to buy a dual GSM SIM phone with Android OS and touch screen. How is the F8 phone being advertised by Naaptol? Appreciate your advice.

P.N.Reddy
I wouldnt advice the dual SIM androids. They are not very powerful and not from good brands. Better stick to the best Android within your budget and get a secondary phone for ~1k.

My mom is principal. She wants a new phone her primary requirement is just bigger phone-book & better battery backup nothing else. Used to talk more & connect to more ppl. She will never use any other feature. Budget phones are welcome.
No any brand restriction all are same . . . for small phones.

What say abt this > Karbonn k570

Karbonn mobiles | Quality mobile phones with AM FM Radio and all advanced features
+ 1000 phone book
+ PC Sync - Hope phone book sync is there
+ Good Battery

- No Java (She might never use, but installing opera mini might be handy)

Any other option ... ?

Looking for a mobile for a cousin.

1. Budget of not more than 9K

2. Excellent music and camera quality

3. No OS preference

4. Capacitive touch if possible

5. 3G enabled.

Please suggest.

LG Optimus One... but not so sure about the music quality aspect of it. It ticks all your other requirements though.

Why you want a phone for music ? No matter how much you spend you won't get a quality of a pmp.

I will say get a Clip + / 8/16gb depending on your collection and rockbox it.

As far as phone is consider any sturdy phone will do. Under 10k capacitive touch might be hard to find all I can see is Dell XCD35.

^^ I understand the limitations of a mobile as a music player. But my cousin doesn't. :)

@agantuk: LG Optimus one is one option. But I'm looking for alternatives, especially from Nokia or SE.

SE Hazel. But no touch screen and not a smartphone.

Excellent audio quality, super 5MP snapper, 3G, front cam and Wi fi. Decent sized 2.6" screen

@JPushkarH

There is a like button in the right hand side corner of the posts. Use it if you like a post.

Else press the star shaped person to rep a person for his post.

P.S: Why did you quote a 6 months old post for that :S

Guys suggest me something around 8k. Should have 3G,Bluetooth,WiFi, good sound both loudspeaker and headphones and touch screen. Getting this for my younger brother so suggest me something which can be used roughly.

TIA,
Punker

Did you buy it, am looking for something in that range too. How is the battery life? Also can I use a Bluetooth headset with it?

Not yet. Planning to get in 3-4 days. Will post the views once i get it. According to the user comments in flipkart and gsmarena battery life seems to be pretty decent.

THanks for the recommendations. My cousin now says that camera need not be a priority. Only touchscreen (either resistive or capacitive) and music are most important. Does that change the options available?
