Dear mod,

Since both LG Renoir and samsung PIXON are out in india market and at almost same price tag, what u kind is best among them in specs???

My bro is interestd in 8mp cell.Should he wait 4 N86 or LG arena ??

i have some 20 grand at my disposal....please suggest which phone should i buy....i need a touch phone but some how the Nokia 5800 XM phone does not appeal to me much....any other alternatives....

Choosing between the LG Renoir and its direct competitor - Samsung Pixon - is a tough call since both are similarly priced. While the Pixon lacks Wi-Fi, it adds to the equation 0.2 inches of screen estate, more advanced widgets system, a snappier interface, WVGA video recording and a true quad-band support.



So in the end, it's the consumer that makes the final decision - choosing between such close competitors is always a matter of personal evaluation and there's no one-size-fits-all answer.

^ The specs are almost identical...

So if lack of Wi-Fi is a dealbreaker,then get the Renoir else stick with the Pixon.



There are quite a few options in this segment...

The Nokia N86 misses out on a touchscreen but offers symbian functionality..

And the LG Arena only sports a 5MP camera but offers a 3 inch,480 x 800 display...

For about 2K more, the HTC Diamond is the only model worth recommending !

There are a few other (cheaper) options but nothing quite like the Diamond...

The Nokia 5800 XM does seem like a good deal at this point...

I could have sworn the shades of red on the W705 & W910 were the same .... Well, as it turns out I was horribly mistaken.

I'd seen the Red colour as an option for the W580i just last week on the SE India website in addition to the colours you've mentioned. Guess it was only on paper & not available in the market.:huh:

Anyway, I'm looking for the metro pink W580i in Mumbai then, so if anyone happens to know where I could get one, please let me know.

Hi guys , was using n73 and then HTC touch before, but wanted somethin in big screen with keypad , got hold og sony ericssson M600i ,its almost 9 months old,no scrathes,guy is willing to give at 5k, what u guys say sud i take it(phone looks perfect 4 my need -quite big screen with keypad and no camera) but have not much idea about this phone so any 1 can help me here if its worth 5k for 9 month old(conditin 9/10 as a buyer)..need to decide by 2night

Apart from the fact that it lacks a camera & Wi-Fi, it's a decent smartphone !
However some do find the Symbian/UIQ OS a bit frustrating,not to mention its stability at times.
But then if your not looking into minor details, this is indeed a smart buy !

It currently retails for 15k !
So 5K seems like a fair price to pay...

Yeah, the red w580 is not mentioned on the same site anymore. Hmmm...

Anyway, thanks for your help. I'll definitely post back if & when I purchase the phone.

Apart from the poor performance of the Navi Wheel, the Nokia N85 kicks ass, offering complete VFM !!!



Even if there are better models coming soon, it will be long since their prices are reduced...
