guys need a suggestion :
I have budget of around 30k for my phone..looking for these features :
1) Gud music player..
2) gud gaming platform..
3) will like to play movies,videos...
4) decent camera, touch interface will be better

First thing that comes to my mind is iPhone 3g(~29k)...
But i have read some reviews and iTouch 2g (~11k) performs better then iPhone 3g in points 1-3 above(better overclocked cpu)....
means I am just paying ~20k extra mainly for an additional phone, GPS (& a subpar camera) feature...:(
I am really a bit confused..which combo should i go for considering i need a gud mp3 player also:

1) Iphone (~29k)
2) Phone X (~ 15-20k) + Ipod Touch 2G ( ~11 k)

Phone X : N series, 5800XM....
- I like the current application support that iTouch/iPhone enjoy.

I guess You can lookout for the windows mobile based phones too.

The Gurus will be able to advice better.

@ All: After all the wait I have finally bought the Asus P320 after doing a more in depth research on the same. The final landed price was zimply irresistible and I was short on finances. Will write a detailed review on the same over the weekend.

But I must say its a phone jam packed with features...

The iPod Touch 2G and the Nokia 5800XM is a great combination. Its the best of both companies.

OPTION 2 IS WHAT YOU SHOULD GO FOR !

Phone Options for under 20k:

No Touchscreen ~ Nokia N79 or N82

Touchscreen ~ Nokia 5800 XM !!!

Hi, I want to buy a phone for my sis within a budget of 6-6.5K max, I usually prefer SE;

1. It should be sturdy and water resistant(heard of a model from Intex that was waterproof).
2. Phone should look good and sport an expensive look.
3. Should have a basic camera, music player,memory card slot and FM.

You can narrow down to 3-4 phones and I'll choose them personally.

Large Screen with good resolution.
Min 3.2MP camera
Will be using mainly to browse/Gmail/GTalk & other sites... Minimum calls/texts.
Good Battery life.
I'm open to touch screens(not to keen on Nokia 5800)

Help me out folks!

If you want to only show other people that your phone has a 3.2MP camera then the E71 is okay. But if you want a good 3.2MP camera phone, look no further than the N78.

The E71 is better than the N78 is all aspects other than the camera and music quality.

Is your sis a swimmer or a scuba diver? Or have you not applied Dr.FIXIT or Fevicol while your house was being constructed? :p

Goodlooking and waterproof are two terms that dont apply to a single phone simultaneously.

I dont know too much about an Intex phone and would suggest you to get some user feedback before buying an Intex ph.
In your budget, a pricey looking handset would be the Motorola RAZR V3i. I think the SE W350i will also fall in your budget.

Actually I had heard that the version that Airtel were selling was non-3G version and so were selling it for a lower price. That is why I want to know if it has 3G or not.

If your so keen on something sturdy & water resistant ,consider the Nokia 5500 Sport ! Forget those crappy intex phones...

The only music(Walkman)phone from SE for under 7k would be the SE W350i !

So your options are:

SE W350i ~ 6.4k

Nokia 7210 Supernova ~ 5.2k* (avg. battery life though!)

Moto SLVR L9 ~ 6.1k*

Moto ZN200 ~ 6.5k*

Nokia 6300 ~ 6.6k*

* Plus VAT

Not sure if there is a non-3G version , let alone offered by Airtel...
but I can assure that its the 3G version being sold in all mobile stores !
