Thanks.. I am moving my family to Bangalooru next week. What could be the price of GSD pup ?. How about getting from Ooty or Kodaikanal. I know its pretty difficult to train her so it will be left there :( . What i was referring if she is near by and throw the biscuit couple of feet away..she will still watch my hand or start sniffing the road to find the trace of the biscuit though just 2 feet from her. By that time some dog will take that away graciously.

GSD pups range from 5,000 and above. However you have to hunt for a good quality pup carefully in Bangalore. Ooty or Kodaikanal are good places earlier, now because of the rampant puppy mill trade in Kerala, even those places have become riskier. Come to Bangalore and look around for good breeders, the Dog show also is shortly due. May be you can go there and look for good puppies.

Nice pics:hap2:
I have been feeding few stray puppies that were born in front of my house few days ago. They are so cute....I want to take one as a pet, but cant decide which one to pick :huh:I will post their pics soon. I am happy to know that you guys have also stray as pets:D

I have adopted 4 dogs previously. 3 German shepherds and 1 pom.

Its a pain to lose them though :(

Was planning to adopt an English Mastiff, but then had to change plans at the last moment. Still planning to get a mastiff in the near future. Btw, the cheapest I got quoted for English Mastiff was 35k. If anyone knows where to get them cheaper do let me know.

I love them too!! :D

If I really do get a pet though, I think it would be a cat.

If possible, I really really wish to get a wolf as a pet though. :ashamed:

oh yes i would love to get a Siberian Husky once I can afford it. I love the breed. very very friendly dog. There used to be one which came for regular walks around 6 PM at carter road, mumbai. Was awesome to stroll around with the husky.

Huskies arent meant for the indian humid climate, its torture for those animals :|

Monica Lab [Mix]

WHAT A BABE :)

A lab for me is the archetype of any dog you can have, all-rounder. just perfect.

These other 2 are there in my in-law's place [Which is like 2 streets away, so they are also semi-owned by me]

2 streets away :O

I find its best when in-laws are like 2 continents away.

Exactly what I was wondering. Who would have a Husky around here? :O

Siberian Huskies are available in plenty in Bangalore. There is a lady who breeds Golden Retrievers & Siberian Huskies. There are a lot of people who own Huskies and have ensured that they are kept under cool conditions [Frigid conditions are not necessary] An air-conditioner is a must in summer. Other than that there are more hirsute dogs which are thriving in Bangalore perfectly fine.

actually huskies dont need cool climate also i believe , their coats can withstand wide range of temperature , just that they neeed a lottttttttttttttttttttt of attention or they get bored :p

There are people who get such dogs, one of my friend has a St. Bernard

I was about to say the same but Bangalore is a lot cooler climate wise than the coast.

It still gets quite hot here for a 2-3 months of the year. So i was told they keep them indoors in that case.

Hmm..

Some people breed huskies even in delhi, i wonder how they cope with delhi HEAT !!!

Anyways ..sticking to the topic, Here are some pics of my would be pet(if things progress as planned) ROMEO :-
