Looks like an in-game screenshot :bleh:

@ANP: Masterfully done! That HDR is one of the best I've ever seen - perfectly tonemapped, no artifacts, no halos, perfectly natural looking and just WOW. F*ck! We need some tutorials kiddo! :)
And Happy birthday boy! :D

@Ashvary: Neat portrait of the deer.

@astronomo_me: Testing huh? :) Always onto something new aren't u? :D

Thanks a lot for your comments guys! :) Yeah long exposure and piers are so damn cliched, but I still really wanted to take one of my own! :)

Stuge, those shots are really good!!

Anp, that's my fav HDR of yours! Beautifully tone-mapped!

Astrono_me, gorgeous test shot! I have been eyeing that lens for a while! :D

Hp_india, thanks for that link. I was so darn bored now; so submitted few photographs. :)

Got some great lenses, just trying them out :P
EF 24mm f/1.4 L II

Pic was taken on the way to work from a super bouncy taxi :P

EF 85mm f/1.2 L II

Bokeh of lens is simply unbelieveable. made a promise to myself to get one of these in my lifetime :D

Ofcourse this was rented :P might buy it wuth next months's sal :D Too bad it costs as much as my one months sal :(

@Sunnyboi: I want my car to look like that Lancer now! :D Darn, that is hot! As for the 85 and the 24, please keep 'em as rental toys and do not buy them; you'd be mostly waiting their potential on the crop-sensor. This is an honest opinion of course! :)

@ANP: This is your new style eh? Dark and moody? :D

@Stuge: Nice! You got real close to that performer!

payne, can you please expound that? Coz I've been eyeing the 85mm f/1.8 for quite a while!

Shots from a recent concert. Was standing in the first row of the moshpit! \m/

@delirious : That comment was meant for me i guess :D I currently have a EF 85mm f/1.2 L II, and wow, I have no more words to be said about it :D

Couple of amazing pics with the 85 f/1.2 :D First one is me, second one is my colleague Mukund, who is a die hard Nikonian and hates Canon :sigh: only reason he agreed to take a pic of me was the lens :P

@ delirious

first one is really awesome....

can tell how much I loved it....

great dramatization....

In second one, if that guy would had not painted black I would had loved the photo more...

ofcourse no mistake of yours in it..

@ Sunny..

though U had rented the lens...
I am also enjoying it...both are well taken...

Well I hope ur college is not Mukund Todmal.. Is he:bleh:

@delirious: I meant the 85 1.2 and the 24 1.4 specifically. Which are feel are overkill on a 450D or even a 7D. These guys shine on FF sensors - great corners and edge-to-edge performance!

The Canon 85 1.8 should be good enough on the 40D, but if you're willing to experiment with Manual Focus take a look at the Samyang/Vivitar/Bower/Polar 85 1.4 for around the same price. Do a google on "Korean 85 1.4", there are tons of reviews out there on how this is one of the sharpest lens at f1.4! :)

But if you want AF, then you're best served with the Canon 85 1.8.

As for the photos, I faved the 1st one and the 2nd one is truly pro-level in terms of processing and drama. I love your flickrstream!

now that there are some truly greats and some just a bit photographers in this thread ....why dont we get some theme based photos done?
