hey with such long exposures you use the smallest f.no right?
Depending on the situation, I use anything from f/11 to f/18 or f/20. I don't go beyond that because my lens just isn't anything close to sharp at such apertures. But of course, the most important tool for ultra long exposures is the ND Filter.

@delirious: Man, you have a lot of dust spots on your sensor - I counted at least 13 in that urban landscape of yours in the previous page! Clean it!
Yeah... but the weird thing is, I can't find any spots when I use my 50mm! Lemme clean my lens first.

Brilliant shot. Really good thinking with the low angle on this.

Awesome shots... love the top one!

^^ It's not exactly handshake ,I have added soft effect using Picasa :P. Anyways I do have problems with firm grips while zooming and I am looking forward to buy a tripod .

Has anyone tried out these kind Gorilapods ?

Joby

Was thinking of getting one off Dealxtreme ..or are the conventional tripods better ? I need something simple ,flexible and upto 3-4 ft. Budget preferably under 700-750 bucks .Max 1k :ashamed:.

^^ I can see the soft effect used, still I feel there is some amount of shake. And anyway, you just need a tripod with these ultrazooms. :) Regarding the tripods from DX, I have ordered one a week ago (cost me around 13$) and I am expecting to receive it in another 1 to 2 weeks. I can let you know its quality then, if you can postpone your purchase. But its height is only 10 inches. Conventional tripods might be better, but I'm not sure I'll carry them around. SO settled for this one.
