The Photography Thread !

Hatter: the 1st two pics are very well taken. The sky on the 1st pic is outstanding, a GND filter would have made it look heavenly. The last pic looks a little cluttered, a 50mm prime would have done wonders, (focus on the tree and the building would have been bokehed in the background). One of the main reason I tell people to avoid the Nikon entry levels, the cheaper 50mm prime lens wont AF..

Vamsi: Nice pics, however the flower looks to be a little out of focus in the 2nd pic..

^no one's perfect
1st pic)crop it closer, too much dead space on top
2nd pic)increase exposure by about 1 stop
3rd pic)almost perfect, but these flowers(have them at home too) are very dull and very difficult to get a good looking photo with them

@Aces0170, Thanks. Will make sure next time.

2.I have no control over exposure... Those pics were taken with Nikon Coolpix E5200 a 5.1MP camera that came out in 2004(I guess). As it is a Point and shoot camera, it allows very basic control of advanced things. :)

3. Yes, I have those in my backyard :p

Thanks for valuable suggestions.

Hatter: good shots, like I said earlier, the skys seem brilliant why don't you try an HDR shot? Yep, if the light permits use the lower ISO, marginally increases the detail. the 3rd snap would look in B&W too..

^^ No HDR now... the moment is gone. I am back in India. But yes, in future sure.

--- Updated Post - Automerged ---

Will try B&W for third snap tonight
