My first visit in the city. Thanks to my mother for getting the unspeakable disease and giving me an opportunity to see the beauty of other cities :/ Life's changed permanently now.

I'm truly sorry to hear that your mother got the disease. I've also visited Mumbai several times for the same reason. The first time was in 1993 when my elder brother was diagnosed with cancer of the throat. The city was still called Bombay then. The last time was in 2008 when my nephew got the same accursed disease.

At least I got to know the main parts of the city in half a dozen visits, each lasting from a week to a month. I loved roaming around Lamington Road picking up electronic parts and instruments for my work. I'll post some of my photos when I have time to dig them up.

One thing that sticks in my mind is that, except for the senior doctors, the staff of Tata cancer hospital were incredibly rude.
