Re: The Witcher 2 - Discussion Thread

My roommate used to joke about the stances of Witcher1. He used to say, Why the feck he's rotating the sword over his head like that. I loved witcher 2. Combat was fluid and finishing moves were great. Finished the game while supporting the rebels. Its a really dark story, i felt sorry for Geralt in the end. He lost everything in the end. Can't say more than this else it would be a spoiler :p, Did anyone had a happy ending?

Re: The Witcher 2 - Discussion Thread

well, I choose Iorveth, and I'm in that weird city with rain, and that girl whatever her name got poisoned.

Now I can't find the f***ing INN, where the hell was it?

Re: The Witcher 2 - Discussion Thread

Finished the game. One of the best games of this year. 9.8/10 from me. -0.2 because of lack of side quests. I wanted this to last long.

Anyway clocked 44hrs in total. One hell of a EPIC experience.

fixed!

Re: The Witcher 2 - Discussion Thread

Not rushing thru it and taking my time...splitting it between Crysis 2, Mafia 2, Dirt 3 is taking its toll....

But the new update fixed a lot of issues esp. with the FPS...now getting 60+ constant.

And ofcourse he can get a new haircut which I didn't really fancy...I preferred Ivoreth's so have taken his side, prefer Elves to Humans I guess....

Re: The Witcher 2 - Discussion Thread

Oh come on Aman, give him a breather. :P

@Infected: Were you referring to the 9GB update?

Using ubersampling?

I suggest use it and let the fps drop to 30s. THe game looks amazing, and still completely playable.

Okay, I'm in chapter 2, Iorveth side, I don't have a Silver Sword, and I'm in dire need of one.

I'm in vergen. Any chance?

You are playing the game without the silver sword:O ? If so, how are you getting rid of the monsters ? You know that steel sword is only effective against humans, don't ya?

Hehe thats a bummer. I was stuck there too. Look for a structure with big wheel. Inn is right next to it. You gonna stuck at another place, will tell you when you reach there....

Re: The Witcher 2 - Discussion Thread

Completed the game on the hard difficult. I went the battlemage route. By the end of the game I could kill hordes of enemies. Combat gets easy at the end.

Directions on Silver Sword.

Spend some money on getting a red, blue or yellow meteorite sword. The trader near the inn has everything you need. You can also find the ingredients when you *SPOILER* go down to the mine while playing for Ioverth.*SPOILER*
The Inn.

The Inn is situated right after the bunch of traders while coming into the town. It's close to a deep pit, with water at the bottom.

Re: The Witcher 2 - Discussion Thread

I got the inn, found the trolls too. Finally, I HAVE THE SUPER RED METEORITE SILVER SWORD HURRAY!!!

28-33 damage, yesss. Now, I need a better steel sword too.

Re: The Witcher 2 - Discussion Thread

Read up on the Mystic River quest. It's important that you learn about this quest in this act or else you will miss it completely.

Re: The Witcher 2 - Discussion Thread

LoL...28-33?

Long way to go you have young Padawan.
