Review Theitwarescom - Reliability?

Ordered amd fx4100 + gigabyte board + msi 6850cyclone + corsair vs450smps. The person confirmed the order. I called him up personally to ask if I could make the payment. He confirmed and I made the payment. But after the payment was done he said that the prices of cpu and graphic card has gone up. Though it was his responsibility to pay me for the price quoted on his website he asked me shellout more or else he could give me the payment back. Its ridiculous and these guys are not reliable at all. So would warn all to be very particular about any dealings wih him.

take the money back he(rahul patil) has different views and ran out of fortune for not offering replacement on a small product which was under warranty (that was on te) .. had a bad deal once with him (not thru te) and yup take it from prime.

why you have to go to theitwares when you have prime and other dealers on te .. pm prime and he may reduce prices a bit

Is it is a standard operating procedure for itwares to quote something else and then jack up prices? I had faced a similar issue when I had to pay extra money on a portable HDD after I made the first payment. This was way back in 2010.
 
I guess yes, even several friends of mine had faced the similar issue, some of them took back the money whereas rest paid extra

correct, Rahul isn't posting correct prices on the product. If a item has Free shipping , the item might not be available and a higher priced will be available with no free shipping.

I think his marketing strategies will fall apart after some years and he'll incur big loss.
 
TE served him as a portal to establish his business successfully especially during the initial days and now I suppose he can take care of the rest.

Never noticed this section on Consumer Feedback before. Good initiative indeed.
 
(Not Same) A kind of thing happened with me too. Had ordered arctic charger + battery through eBay. Package was box packed, but battery looked like old. plastic paper coating was removed from upper side on 2 out of 4 of them. I tried to charge, did not work.

Sadly I had confirmed Item receipt on eBay and left +ve rating too.

So I contacted him and told him that charger is not working. Out of 4 only 3 points are working, and one keeps on blinking with red light.

He said " that's how it works. I am too using it". I thought, may be there's something wrong with my switch board.

Now after 2 days, when I needed cells, I tried charging them. Funny thing is there was no blinking on any charging point. All 4 were charging with red light on. And after 6-7 hours was showing green light.

So he definitely lied about how charger works. Lucky me batteries are working fine for now. And already 1 week was passed, I did not think about old batteries.

Incident with Jeri was really something different from him. He is mostly active on eBay now-a-days. And I would never suggest a person to buy from a dealer whom we are not familiar with. eBay, it's ok, but not directly via web-site, where payment options are direct NEFT only.
 
The funny part is he mentioned that all the lamington road guys are cheat and dont keep their word justifying his deeds. To which I told him dude that what you are doing is not good for your reputation to which he said that even ebay, flipkart etc. etc. also do the same so its okay what he did. Seems hes not bothered about his reputation.

I wish I could take the money back but I had to assemble the stuff yesterday itself and deliver it to my client today.. also prime did not have msi cyclone in stock yesterday so had to finish off the deal.

Difference was of Rs. 580 so I asked him to waive off alteast 80 and take 500 as round figure coz as I was already making a loss of 580 bcoz of him.. but he didnt budge.

Also I said I would sacrifice my profit to maintain relationship with a client to which he said that it was my lookout and I was wrong. Man if he doesnt respect this then hes a very weak charachter. Done with him now.

Btw the client was very happy with the machine so I was happy.
 
Avoid Itwares / Elounge the guy (Rahul) has no sense of talking politely, he is totally rude, some might find him straight forward but thats all BS he is just rude.

Had bought from his site as well as store, all the time his attitude was ignorant & as if King of LR.

Also he was a Regd Dealer on TE but left for some petty case where in buyer was not at fault.

One thing I would like to point out, back in 2007 when he had began establishing business he was quite good with rates, service & prompt replies that too politely but recently he has completely changed.
 
even after getting so many negative feedbacks , how does this guy manage to survive and reap profits ? .

The general guy wont go to this office cause its quite in a corner or a building , so its all mostly people on forums or buying from ebay .

But still whatever he is doing , his business model seems to work for him strangely ! .
 
I have had dealt with Rahul (ITWares) around 4-5 times and every time the experience was smooth and good. But yes it does seem he is quite rude and reluctant at solving issues nowadays. The last time i purchased something from him was a HD 6950 2GB card in OCt-2011 & he gave me the best price although he took two weeks to get the same in stock.
 
4 years ago i placed a similar complain that time all were praises for him and no one on my side, looks like all of you learned the lesson the hard way.
 
yes i to agree he talks as if he is irritated by your queries,but for price changing almost most dealers do the same from golchait,mdcomputers smcinternational etc one

price on phone and one price on websites between even flipkart may change the price
