Tool to Rip DVD movies

Which software is the best to rip DVD movies? I used DVD Ripper but while the video quality was gud the sound quality was not. So please suggest something else. Something which allows you to specify the file size and then chooses the optimal settings based on the size would be good.

Also please tell me the settings to be used if they are not evident even to someone who has never ripped a DVD before.

How long does AutoGK take to rip a normal sized English movie? I had it running for an hour and then I aborted when I saw my core temps touching 60.

I have a C2D 6300 with a gig of RAM.

Will start it off in the night. Hopefully it will run a little cooler then.
 
Takes me roughly around 2 - 2.5 hrs to encode a 1.5 hour movie. Around 4 gb dvd to single cd 700 mb . Since you have a dual core and that too a core2duo, it should take you much lesser time than that
 
Took approx. 2 hours to rip the movie to a 2 CD format. Quality seems to be pretty good. Will check it out in the evening...
