@superfrag: dude i completely forgot about the awesome protector. Its gonna be fun driving brendon's hard to drive cans thru the protector.
@faheem: AD1000 already comes with a 1/8th" plug, fyi.
@strategy: Damn i shouldn't have said the no "sale" part......i gave too much away din't I? Its not a GS1000. You guys would've gotten really disappointed if I wud've told you in Jan so here goes.......ITS A Grado SR225i. And trust me when I tell ya they're better than the Sr325i if you've ever tried them or read any reviews about the Sr225i.

@brendon: Yes you will be the first one to try it out, ever more since you cancelled your vacation plan to try out the D5000's and now these and compare them with your HD650.

you cant go by the specs ... i mean my maverick d1 shows a lot of power in the specks

but is only 1.5 times powerful than my HM602 and its a full-sized desktop amp ( with AKG K702 , and akg is no slacker when its the power required :P )
 
Its funny that this thread has covered most of the topics like dacs, amps, iems and hps. And whats funnier is the original TS has not bought any Top Tier IEM yet.
What a waste of my precious time. j/k ;)

He already had the 252s, now will soon have TF10. All he has to do is to buy a few more.

lol, infact he has sold his only toptier the RE252 , after starting this thread :P

and already having two thoughts about TF10 , the higher sale price might lure him to sell , he is a businessman :P
 
@ benney : yeah Sr: 225 has the same drivers as 325 and it is said they are better, ( but its also said 325 is better :P) , some have reported that they are more/better treble than 325.

great buy, lol yeah after your d5000, atleast my expectations were high :P, i mean i thought its RS1/2 but then thought ..."bah, he has the d5000 ...so he should now have spent even more" , thats why i did not even say rs1/2 :P

@strategy: i din't wanna spend a lot, the d5000 are perfect for the kinda music i listen to, but i do listen to some chilled out stuff too at times for which the grado's are perfect. And these retail for around 300$ here, so they don't come cheap ya know.
@doc : dude, i was jus kidding about the time part man. once you get to know me u'll knw i'm not a very serious guy. and just a advice, you already have a westone 3. spend less time researching on your next buy and enjoy it, otherwise they're not worth it. My recent purchases have been kinda impulsive only becuz i've been getting good deals.

the fact that you placed your "mistery HPs ahead of the D5000 also made me guess that they are even costlier than d5000 :P

Sr225 were on sale here by amarbir for a day at ~13500 ( they vanished yesterday ).

my all purchases have been because i am was getting a fast deal :P

...FX700 i grabbed it when it showed up on head fi

...HM602 preoder with re262 free !!

...AKg were available at amazon at good price when i bought them ...got here around 15K

...Sflo had a combo when i bought them :P
lol i need o stop looking at ads ...i am totally cought up in their plan ...they have lured me in their trap ! :fear: :@
 
^ lol, they look like beetle insects, its such an astonishment that even such costly iems are not aesthetically designed.
 
^^^they really look cool when it is in the ear....solid design...very comfortable...not to mention the awesome sound.. once u put in your ear u will forget what it looks like by their quality of sound..
 
yeah, that is true, sound has to be awesome, i am just saying that if we could impress girls too while simultaneously following our expensive hobby, it would have been great, like a fake diamond studded platinum bodied IEM maybe !! :)
