The title says it all,
Im a heavy texter.
I will do some listening to music,and the occasional movie :(.
Am personally leaning towards Samsung corby plus B3410 :S.
The budget is max at 9k.

If you do have any other suggestions,keep 'em posted.
 
Samsung Cordy PRO or PLUS FTW.

Serioulsy mate, a friend of mine bought few days back i checked it & its really amazing touch scr & its QWERTY pads :D

but i think ots 10K + or something
 
Corby pro is out of my budget,a new corby plus costs rs 9.1k at chennai.

Is that a good deal?

Any other suggestions...
 
could you tell me some feature wise comparisons between corby plus and nokia 5230??

Well Corby has some Eyecandy, show off some good colors Cartoon UI Mostly access to some social netwrking sties like TWITTER,MY SPACE & so on.

Well nokia :P not really, but it sure has 360 x 640 pixels, 3.2 inches ( Huge scr seriously )

Proximity sensor for auto turn-off

Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate

Handwriting recognition

& also its ARM Processor :P

its up to If i where u i'll lay my hands on NOKIA :P

Dude .. I agree was a bit late .. that doesnt mean you straight away give me a rep so quickly .. i gave you an option just because you wanted one .. if you were so impatient to have the stats you could have done it yourself man .. but i dont appreciate what you've done .. :@

P.S. : i would like the mods to intervene .. and look into this matter ..
 
Go for 5230. . .samsungs's OS sucks(sad app. Support) . 5230 runs on the latest s60v5 platform. . The application/themes are available in tons!
Asus p230 is too old. .ppl here have been suggesting it since ages
 
Ya the asus phone around 8k. Also there is lg cookie but i hear battery is not good. Also the asus one user reviews state it requires warning up for touch to register. Donno what that means.
Also i hear the corby is not that good for videos playback.

How is the camera of 5230 compared to that of the corby plus..?

Will there be signifigant difference between 3G and EDGE on a mobile while surfin??

I will activate EDGE, once I buy the phone.

Well Edge is 236.8Kbps and 3G (HDSPA) is 3.6Mbps.
I hope i am clear
By the ways what is the price of 5230?
 
@Srirama: OK man .. please think before giving reps n such other stuffs .. no grudges ... and .. even after giving it a deeper thought .. i think you should opt for 5230 eyes closed .. and it wont exceed your budget .. go for it .. and moreover .. it has a faster interface(processor) than what 5800 has .. so the 5230 is the best phone in this segment.

how is the camera of 5230(i know its two megapixel).?

im a heavy texter,is it easy to text on it?(as corby plus has a qwety keypad)?
 
Dude, the camera is 2Mega pixel & more over 640X480 video 30fps VGA recording.

So Nokia FTW :D

Samsung, i think its QVGA with 13 or 15fps.

Umm.. The camera should be a very normal one .. its not a carl-zeiss(which 5800 has) but should work for normal use and stuff .. and looking at the texting .. it will surely take you sometime to get used to it .. this also has a qwerty keyboard which will obviously be a touch one .. and if im not wrong there 4 methods of input(which is in 5800) .. umm .. also taking corbys' texting potential .. if you're a heavy texter you will be sliding the keyboard a numerous number times which may lead to a fault into the later stages .. and i would not suggest you to buy samsung phones .. because they're born to love their service stations .. so .. i guess ive been somewhat successful in clearing your doubts ..

P.S. : Ask thetoxicmind in the The Mobile Advisor .. he's the best in suggesting you the best phone .. give it a try ..
