I got them as gift from ebay India, Brand New, box never opened.

hold one for me till tmrw . What's the market price for this one ?? How much warranty on these drives ?
 
Chennai Market price is Rs. 2700. You can get them in ebay for around 2,500.

I understand that transcend offers 2 yrs warranty.

Its from ebay mansoon offer, anything can be bought for 10k and a free gift can be chosen.

can warranty be claimed by its serial no....as ebay doesnt provide a bill...

I would like to know the same. From transcend website:

5. Warranty Claim Requirements

When sending a defective product to Transcend, it is required that customers provide prepaid freight and insurance. Shipped products must be properly packaged to prevent damage during transit. You must also include proof of the date of original purchase as evidence that the returned product is within the applicable warranty period.

Is Transcend warranty on serial number or bill ?
 
I read somewhere that transcend warranty can be claimed by serial numbers.

kkndka may be in a position to enlighten us on this, as he was able to get warranty in India for the products purchased in USA.
