I checked it with Sennheiser HD595 & E5. Without using equalizer its very flat no crispness at all but using equalizer it can satisfy the user. One more thing I found complicated that when I make a song sounds good after setting all the equalizers with the same setting another song does not sound good. So I have to alter the setting of equalizer to make it sound better.

As I have already mentioned its good but not like it will blow you away. It can easily satisfy your need.
I have not used clip+ i read it in forums that it sounds better then Creative Zen which I own.
